Not sure I understand your question. A 7.5 ltr Ford would be a V8.
There should be a starter solenoid on the fender that powers the starter. Are you trying to put a switch on the dash for that solenoid?

My 90 Ford 150 key truns on everthing works but dont trun over put new starter solenoid on what could it be ?

you need to check the voltage from the key switch to the solenoid, only if there is power to the solenoid will it work . Once this is correct then the solenoid will click to swittch on the starter motor. If not the starter motor is a suspect, it can be failure of the brush or the commutator.

How do you remove the starter solenoid

you need to disconnect the battery . Remove the starter from the car there may be a plastic cover on the transmission that cover the stater bolts . after you have remove the starter there are two bolts holding the solenoid to the starter. Just some advice if you go to the trouble to remove the starter just replace it as a whole assembly . its takes a little work to get the starter out and would hate to see a starter motor problem along with a solenoid problem

I have a 1990 ford f 250. When I try to start the car the starter winds up but doesn't turn the engine over. Someone told me the starter wasn't engaging and said it needs to be replaced but it started just...

i believe you are hearing the starter turn over but the bendix in the starter is probably bad which is what makes the starter engage the flexplate (flywheel) so unfortunately whoever told you to replace the starter is right, but lucky for you ford trucks have some of the easiest starters to acess

1990 ford f-150 nothing happens when ignition is turned on

Solenoid was not mentioned as replaced.

If it was not part of new starter...that's the culprit.

Ignition switch (smaller wire) activates the solenoid (heavier wire) which in turn activates the (high current) starter.
