SOURCE: the memory seat on my 02 Avalon just quit working.

On most of the 2002 Avalon it has two memory selections on driver's side. The transmission shifter is located on the console. The seat memory selectors are on the left end of the driver's seat. Memory seat switch has an issue make sense if no beep, the memory switch is wired directly to the seat ECU, if the seat works normally but no memory function then a switch is the most likely issue here,Do all of your seat position switches, including lumbar work? If they do, then your fuse is fine. If that's the case then disconnect the memory switch connector, remove and check the memory set switch on the seat. There are 4 terminals on the switch. They are left to right terminal 4,3,2,1.You have to check Continuity between terminal 1-2, then 2-3, then 2-4. If any fail then replace the switch. ----The plastic seat shield is held on by a screw under the front, a screw on the back and the power seat knobs snap off. The memory switch has 2 screws. The shield under the front of the seat has 2 screws. ---------- Also click this link for more details:---About switch connections. --------- Keep updated.Thanks.This should help.Helpmech.

How do I replace a 2007 Toyota Avalon drivers side power seat switch w/o memory seat?

First of all, air bag sensors are not under the seats, so don't worry. Next, the switch working at certain times means that perhaps you do not have to replace it. The cold switch contacts are slightly corroded from moisture condensing on them. When the car warms up, the contacts are "clean" and make good electric contact. Choose: live with a little inconvenience or start messing with the switch to clean off the electrical contacts inside with electrical contact cleaner which requires removing the switch and opening up its insides.

Inoperative seat heaters on a '95 Avalon XLS

There should be a relay for one or both seats. You may need to check with the dealer on what the relay looks like and where it is located.
It might be in your owners manual.

Power seat controls are not working

First of all, check under the seat where there should be a cluster of wires. Sometimes if the power seat is used alot by sliding back and forth, without this cluster of wires being secured, occassionally a wire can get cut.
The runners on which the seats move are metal and cut wires easily. Secondly, the plug also located under the seat could have gotten wet or accidently came unplugged from someones feet in the back or objects and debris.
Another possibilty that will keep power seats from working is the power seat motor. In most cases, this small electrical motor is located directly under the power seat control panel or very nearby
Also you could check the fuses in the fuse box, located directly above the driver's left foot area. Power seats are usually on thier own circuit which means if the power seat fuse is blown, that is the only malfunction that will be noticed, versus other circuit which have many power items on one circuit. For example dash light, clock, and temp lights don't work, one fuse will fix the problem. Power seats operate on one fuse circuit which could have one or more fuses depending on the options of your seats. E.g. heated or not, lumbar, etc.

Seat Belts/Front Seats

seats use heavy corrent & use relays instead of fuses. check relays in fuse panel. see chart on cover or owner manual for location.

Also, this is for 96 villager seats.

Circuit Protection
Power is supplied to the seat motors through the 30A POWER WINDOW fuse. The fuse is located in the LH engine compartment fuse junction panel and is hot at all times. The circuit breaker is behind the interior fuse junction panel and prevents current overload and component damage.
