$12. UNLESS you have it done by a shop. Then $120.

Since fuel supply side have been changed, try looking into the ignition side. It will be much simpler if you scan your car for error codes. Less guesswork and lower repair cost. Without codes, next to check would be Crankshaft Position Sensor and Camshaft position Sensor. If both OK and all relays are OK, you should have spark.

I have a 2000 kia sportage that cranks but will not start what might it be?

When en engine won't start, there could be a number of things wrong. An engine requires air, fuel, and spark to start. You need to start by checking for spark. Take out one of the spark plugs and plug it back into the wire. Have somebody else turn the key while you hold the plug up to something metal on the engine, right next to the spark plug hole will be fine. You should see a bright blue spark, if you don't then you probably need to replace the spark plugs. You can do this same thing with any of the spark plugs. If you don't have spark on any of the plugs, get back with me and we'll go from there.

How do i change spark plugs on a 2000 kia sportage

YOU REMOVE THE CYLINDER HEAD COVER.YOU REMOVE SPARK PLUGS FROM TOP OF THE ENGINE CYLINDER HEAD.FIRST YOU REMOVE THE IGNITION COILS AND HIGH TENSION LEADS THEN REMOVE SPARK PLUGS.YOU NEED SPARK PLUGS SOCKET THE LONGER SOCKET WILL BE GOOD YOU NEED LONGER EXTENSION, YOU NEED SPARK PLUGS GAP GAUGE AND A 3/8 RATCHET WRENCH. YOU NEED A TORQUE WRENCH ITS NOT MANDATORT BUT JUST DONT OVER TIGHTEN SPARK PLUGS OR YOU WILL DAMAGE THE ALUMINUM HEAD THREADS.

Kia sportage 2000 oil like in last spark plug hole

if in the spark plug hole, then problem could be the valve cover oil seal, that seals the valve cover to the engine, being around 10 years old, this could be the result of the rubber seal hardening up . should not be hard or costly to replace,

however, if you are referring to you taking the plug out and there is oil in the hole, this could be another matter entirely

I have a 2003 Kia Sportage. It seems the free wheeling hubs are shot. Is this usual? Where can I buy new ones inexpensively?

It is going to cost you a arm and a leg or 2. Get manual hubs (lockers) You just have to get out of the car to engage and dis engage but it will not give problems again. not that expensive !!!! Enjoy from Willem SA
