Leaking water

Before spending $800 for a might fix it, I would either tape it shut or seal it shut with silicone sealent. Tape might damage the paint, so be aware of this. Personally I would seal it with silicone, it can always be removes although it is a pain in the rear end. After sealing wait for the next rain and look for leaks. You could pull the headliner out and then run a water hose over the roof and look for a leak as well. A body shop will probably be cheaper to repair it than the dealer. Dealers generally charge around $100/hr for labor. Body shops charge around $65.hr.

Just bought a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix Wide Track and the sun roof will not open and makes no noise when control button is pressed. Investigated and found that the motor that opens and closes the sunroof is...

Hi.
I was having trouble with my sun roof on a 2004 Montecarlo. I had two issues water coming in and would not operate fully. I could toggle the switch and it would not move very far. this is what I found. I started to pull down the lining and saw that the motor was in front of the sun roof.
I found the drain lines on the front side corners of the tray around the inside of the sun roof. I found that the tube ran down the pillar's and out between the door hinge's. I took them off and blow them out one was plugged up. That fixed the water problem. The roof would move with help from me pushing. I got it opened and noticed the grease was hard. I cleaned up the grease and removed most of it with WD40.
Now the sun roof works good as new.
I thought the water problem was because the roof was not fully closed but I guess it is designed to have water pass by the roof seal and have it drain away. I always noticed water under the car after a rain or a car wash but did not realize iit was the sun roof draining.

Wet floor board when it rains.

The sloshing water could be water in your doors. Old Range Rovers used to trap water when the drains became plugged - it could be that the water is building up there and coming out of the door speaker grilles. Is the car fitted with a sunroof? Pinched or restricted sunroof drains can also lead to this kind of problem.

How do you change the back three spark plugs?

If you have the 6 cylinder it is easier to do it from the top than the bottom. Either way it is a pain. A lot of it is done by feel and you have to use the right extensions for each plug or you can easily crack the insulator. Use anti-seize on the threads and by platinum or better plugs so you do not have to do it very often. You can get better clearance on the fire wall by removing some of the switches from the wall and the manifold (That helps for bigger hands). Take your time and screw in the plugs by hand so you do not cross thread them. I have found myself Kneeling on the radiator support bar during this operation so expect some discomfort and always remember" The dealer wants to get $1000 out of every service job". Save money and do it yourself.

Chevrolet 2004 Tahoe Sun Roof Problem

I have built, repaired and installed sunroofs for 20 years. Its hard to tell what problem is, so many variations for motors with relays, cams, programed circuit boards. To get the roof closed you can drop motor usually 3 screws then pull glass forward as far as you can, then from inside of truck you will have to take a screw driver and finish sliding cable forward somehow. When sliding by hand watch on the inside to see what parts are moving so you can finish sliding forward. Hope this helps.

Water leaks from behind glove box onto floor

Three things can cause this.A leaking heater core, leaking windshield(when it rains,or has been washed),and sometimes not often the AC drain plug can be clogged.I would go with the heater core, look under the dash you will see a black plastic box with 8mm screws about 6-10 of them remove them from the bottom first and gently pull on the cover you should get water running out.Replace the heater core,if water present.
