SOURCE: find front airbag sensor 2003 Sierra

The front crash sensor is on or near the radiator support under the hood, it is a little square box, one question why do you think it has a problem? it is a mechanical device, a steel ball bearing sitting in an inverted cone, when you crash the ball bearing breaks free of the magnet, that breaks a connection and signals the airbag monitor to fire the airbags, it takes a 5+ MPH impact to set all this in motion, there are side impact sensors as well, the physics of these are a little different, they are measured in G force of the impact, hope all this doesn't bore, one note the fuel that fires the air bag is made by the same folks that make rocket fuel for the solid fuel boosters of the space shuttle.

How to get the airbag light to go off on a 2007 Chevy van Express

You need to find out what code or codes are stored in the airbag control module > There are a lot of components involved in your airbag system : If you haven't had any training on these systems your best bet is take it to a ASE certified repair shop . Air bag sensors light on 2007 kia optima came on about after a small fender bender. right front fender is slightly damaged, is there an airbag sensor light located there?

There may not be a sensor in that very location where the damage is but it may have been enough to trigger at least one sensor. The thing to do would have a shop hook up a scanner and see why the light is on instead of replacing sensors. Usually it takes more force to trigger a sensor inside the car than it does to trigger and outside sensor. And at least two sensors need to trigger before an airbag is deployed.

Airbag light on dash is on. Told $600 to replace "rear airbag sensor". Can I buy the sensor and replace it with less cost?

Wow, that's expensive. $600 sure sounds like the air bag module itself. The air bag "sensors" located at the front near the radiator hold downs, there's 2 of them are around $45 each.

Where is the front airbag sensor located?

Air bag sensors are located all around the car. They're bright orange in color and easily seen if you open hood and look on upper fender wells

Collision System Sensor in 05 Yukon Denali xl is malfunctioning

you have two front collision sensors int he front. drivers and passengers. if you know which side it is then just order one from the dealer. to replace the sensor just disconnect the battery and locate the sensor, they are mounted below the rad. unbolt the bad sensor unplug connector and mount new one.. plug in connector and then reconnect battery. the airbag light will come on for the startup procedure and then once the airbag startup is passed and no problems are found the light should go out. Good luck
