Sounds like your fluid is too low, fill it back again, have the car running,to check this, also check out your cooler lines for leaks ,you replace your radiator.

How do I fix the transmission problem? The car is moving forward at neutral, drive and low gear, and switching to parking mode at reverse and parking. The car is not backing up at all.

Transmission may now be toast since you continued to drive it when maybe low on fluid or torque converter had failed. How long since last fluid and filter change? Ever?

I have a 95 Lincoln town car how do I know if linkage or transmission is bad goes in reverse but does not move forward check fluid was low corrected that also tried trans x but still is the same

I had a montecarlo and was doing the same thing, the friction plates in the transmission burned and it would go in reverse but not forward. If you didn't have enough transmission fluid that could've caused them to burn.

Transmission fails to engage in forward or reverse.

If the transmission is not extremely low on fluid then there is but one reason for this, the transmission has failed and will need to be removed and rebuilt or replaced with a reman unit.

What it means the code p1784 chrysler van manufacture control transmission

p1784 is indicating that the pressure in the transmission is not correct for the low and reverse clutch in the transmission .. thats also use in forword gears .. first make sure the fluid leve is not low .. then you could have a bad "low/reverse"solonoid switch (thats on the drivers side of the transmission in a box called the solonoid pack) ... that could just be stuck .. if thats the problem it can be repaired without removing the transmission ..

Transmisson ingages in reverse car won't move

your transmission is slipping when its cold. when it warms up the parts inside expand and take up the slack that's caused by the clutches and bands inside being worn. start by checking the trans. fluid level and condition. if it's low, add fluid. if it's brown or black or sparkly, your transmission is junk and needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
