starters are normally located at the rear of the motor usually hard to get too or see. should be on your bell housing in other words just in front of the gearbox/clutch

SOURCE: suzuki grand vitara 2000 model the engine light blinks

Take your rig.. drive it to a gas station.. fill the tank up with gas.. also fill 2 jugs of gasoline at the same time... put the jugs in the back of it.. now drive as far as you can until the rig runs out of gas.. then, take the two jugs of gas.. pour it all over the rig, inside and out.. now light it a-blaze, then walk to your nearest car dealer and buy a new car..

SOURCE: crack on inlet manifold leaking 1997 suzuki vitara jlx 1600cc

hi, their is no way of repairing this to ensure that it will continue to work, your best option is to replace it as a whole, the cheapest option would be either a breakers yard or even try the biggest auction site we all know and love( cant mention no names on hear) xxay im sure you know what site im on about, anyway those would be your cheapest option.
Or you could just buy a new part at the end of the day its up to you.

You could try fixing it but their is no guarantee its going to last due to the heat involved and the parts expanding and retracting so any repair would be difficult to do and also the repair wouldnt last long witch could leave you breaking down some where.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

SOURCE: 2007 Grand Vitara with 110,000 miles the intake valve on number 5 clyinder is leaking causing a misfire. Is this a typical problem?

Are the manifolds integrated or separate? Either way, I would have 2 gaskets installed between the head/or both sides. Get the problem fixed and sell asap! Many miles left but there may be a problem with warping of the heads.

Car is revving in idle, you can feel it pulsing when driving. Have checked all the vacuum hoses and replaced the sensor assy.map. What else can i try?

Hello,

This is odd, I just wrote another person with a very similar problem... Anyhow... If you think you have a vaccum leak (and I think you do too) buy a spray can of carb cleaner. Start your car and begin spraying around the intake manifold. When you find the spot that is causing your problems the engine will SPUTTER BIG TIME and may even die. You can use this trick to find vaccum leaks in gaskets or in hoses. If you find its one of the intake manifold gaskets leaking try just tightening it. Hondas have a way of getting loose bolts after a few years. Sometimes you cant get away from it and will have to replace the gasket however.

I hope this helps

There is an oil leak that is coming from an area above the drivers side motor mount bracket . any ideas ? thank you

The rocker cover gaskets, they shrink up over time and leak, usually the rear drivers side on a V6 or V8 is the first spot. You can try tightening them up and stopping the leak, it is the cheapest route to take, but you will probably have to replace the cover gaskets, they do not come off easily. You have to remove the intake, most of the time. Then pull the covers, replace the spark plug seals, then the rocker cover gaskets, put it all back.Use no sealer to put them back on. No more leak. Hope this helps.

I have a 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara and lately it has smelled like gasoline inside the vehicle after it has been parked for awhile and the odor also permeates throughout the garage. There are no visible...

If I were you ,I would remove the plentum and make sure the injectors are not leaking onto the intake manifold and creating a pocket of fuel, witch could cause a engine fire while driving.

How to replace the intake manifold? I have a 96 grand cherokee v8, unable to replace the thermostat housing to the manifold because one of the screw holes cracked off on the manifold.

Position The Intake Manifold Gasket On The Engine.Dowels May Be Provided To Hold The Gasket In Place During Manifold Installation.. The Use Of Silicone Sealer Is Required. Especially Where The Front And The Rear Seals Meet The Side Gaskets On V-type Engines. Installing An Intake Manifold On V-type Engines Can Be Difficult. It Is Critical That You Use Sealer Properly On The Engine To Prevent Vacuum,Coolant, And Oil Leaks.

Start All The Fasteners By Hand Before Tightening. This Will Aid In Bolt Hold Alignment. Then Torque The Intake Manifold Fasteners To Specifications. Use The Specific Torque Pattern Given In The Service Manual.. Basically The Pattern Will Be A Crisscross Pattern
