Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

I have a 2005 Buick lesabre custom. I have been having some electrical issues. There are time the remote key won't unlock all the doors and then I will go to crank my car up and it won't start at all and doors won't unlock. When I turn the key the lights on the dash come on. Cigarettes lighter still works. IInterior lights still work. Just won't crank. Then maystart a few days later. Is anyone familiar with this issue?

Suggest you see a dealer or local shop, that
can look in data base to get familiar enough
with your vehicle to diagnose the issues

SOURCE: key fob remote start issues

You need to get one that works on the same wide range frequency as the reciever in the car, and then it's a simple matter of opening both the new and old fobs, and matching the fine frequency settings by putting the little switches inside where they should be according to the old fob's switches. If there are no switches in the old fob, it's preset and there's not much you can do about it.

The front doors do not work with the remote, only the back doors. The front doors have to be unlocked individually from the inside.

first check for child safety locks on the inside of the doors -- then read manual to ensure you don't have to click unlock multiple times - if all else fails, may have to have PHOB key reprogrammed
