Question about Cars & Trucks

1 Answer

When I start my grand marquis 2003, I will turn on the ac and I will hear a click. Then like thirty seconds later I will hear another click. My problem is that my ac blows hot then I hear a click and it will start to get cold then I hear the click again and then the ac gets hot. I am trying to find what the problem is cause I can't find it. I also might think it's electrical cause when I hit the gas the clicks get further apart and the air gets a little colder but only when I hit the gas. Please someone help me. What is the problem?

The a/c compressor is cycling on/off this will happen when low on refrigerant or not enough air flow across evaporator 1st check system by rolling windows down place blower fan on highest setting hold throttle just above a idle 1200-1500 rpm"s if still cycling then open hood and find a black can it could be silver at firewall is the pipe coming from inside the car cold about 45 degrees if not system is low. if cold check cabin air filter it is pulled if equipped

My 1995 grand marquis will not crank at all

first of all check to make sure the engine is not locked up but placing a socket wrench on the crank shaft bolt. Try to turn it clockwise, if you can not bug it, its locked up. Second do you hear a click from the starter when you turn the ignition key, Not a click from the ign. switch. If you hear a clicking nose from the starter solenoid then more than likely you need a new starter.

My 2003 Grand Marquis just clicks when I try to start it and won't start.

Possibly needs a battery. Have the battery tested by an auto parts store. If battery tests good then problem is most likely the starter.

How do I fix a broken ac damper in my 2003 Grand Marquis? For a few days, there would be intermittent clicking behind the dash, related to the car vacuum levels. Now the heater is stuck on, though all...

there should be some plastic covers under the dash (kick pannels) , you will need to remove... Most of the air plenum is located on the passanger side.. so start under the glove box and remove those pieces of plastic first.
When the cover panels are off... opperat the climate controls and listen and look where the noise is comming from... With any luck... you will hear a vacuum hiss and find it is just a cracked vacuum line you need to replace.
