Question about Isuzu Pickup
How do check this leaking issue for inside the NPR 300 tray back.Radiator fluid leaking from under the dash below heater unit
You have to get your head under the dash with a flashlight and see where it's leaking from,your going to have to replace it,some time you can get lucking and there located near the firewall under the hood,but rarely.if not you have to take half the dash out,hope you got patients.

Your heater core is leaking and needs to be replaced it can cause your car to overheat and mess up the engine. be sure to watch the coolant level so you don't overheat.

You may need to ask AAA to put a radiator pressure tester on the resevoir bottle and pump it up to operating pressure(Pressure cap rating) and see if it over pressurises while it is running at operating temp,rev engine up and down and watch what the testers pressure readings do,it should move up and down in sync with the water pump.If the pressure keeps building i would have to believe that combustion chamber gases are over pressurising your cooling system.Also test the pressure cap is functioning within factory specs.

Do this test, bypass your heater core by removing both hoses and connect them together with a small threaded pipe coupling and then worm gear clamp them on to the coupling. Be sure to mark one of then with a tye wrap so you will know if its top/bottom/left or right. Then run it a few days and routinely check for leaks if there are'nt any more leaks then you either had a small hair line tear or crevice corrosion at one of the hoses at the fire wall or there is a small leak just inside the fire wall on the heater core. When reinstalling the hoses cut a 1/4 of a inch off of them and then reinstall and recheck for the leak. If you still see it then its internal then there is the real pain of changing the heater core. Just a heads up, $10 bucks will buy you a seal kit for the P.S. pump. I topped mine off for a couple months, then the oring on the high pressure line (from pump, front center) blew and dumped the reservoir in a matter of miles.
The line can be a stinker to get off, recommend driving the car for a few minutes to heat up the pump a little. Don't forget the 20MM wrench.

Sorry im late with this,i couldnt seem to log on....The answer to your question is YES,there is a steel line under the intake with a short piece of rubber line attached to it and you can just about see it from the front of the intake with a light,it can leak and cause coolant to run off the back of the engine,The intake gasket set alone is about $40.00 and i dont know about the rubber line,i have seen it physically but havent changed one yet.Note the date of manufactor just incase,i bought an intake set for a 99 and the engine design was changed half way through...its not too hard to pull off the intake and re-install,you will need a 7mm socket for the coil packs,8mm socket for the fuel rail bolts and lower intake bolts and power steering bracket bolts and throttle bracket bolts,10mm socket for the intake bolts and alternator bolts and egr valve,and a large cresant wrench for the exhaust tube thats connected to the egr valve,flat screw driver for the air cleaner...and plenty of extensions with a swivel to be able to get to the back bolts of the intake....just incase you do it yourself this info could make it easier to gather tools.Its about a 3 1\2 to 4 hour job start to finish for the first time doing it,includes cleaning everything..Good luck
