Question about 2006 Chrysler Town & Country
The UConnect does not work, nor does the auto dim mirror. Also, there is no sound on the DVD player. have tried pulling the IOD fuse and disconnecting the negative battery terminal in order to "reset" the modules, but that did nothing. I'm assuming the problem is either with the mirror or the module. There is voltage at the connector which plugs into the mirror.
At the dealership they have a scanner that see's the input or output of the mirror mic and can see if it is working,it will also store a fault code for it too,DVD player may be a different issue and may be related to the radio.

There is a BCM (Body Control Module) update that the dealer needs to do to fix this problem. Check out the ChryslerForum.com They have a lot of answers on this problem...

What a professional would do is activate the AC relay with a data scanner. If they cannot turn on the AC then the PCM has failed. If the relay clicks and the AC does not turn on then the pressure may be low. Testing the low pressure sensor only tells you its not faulty. It wont tell you if you have a PCM issue or any other electrical fault or low presure.

If you have the digital dash the mechanic is probably correct. The "body control module" is located under the passenger kick plate and controls a multitude of unrelated functions like odometer, fuel gauge, and headlight covers. Replacement must be the same part number, and critical factors are digital dash, and EVIC (overhead display). I just replaced mine last week from the local pull it yourself yard.
