Sounds like a bad power wire. Wire expands with and contracts with heat and cold. Once it gets warm the wire either expands causing an open in the circuit or could be grounding out against something. You could try to narrow down where the wire is bad by running a wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the coil and see if it will stay running then. Also if you have a voltmeter check the voltage at the coil hot wire cold and then when it won't start

SOURCE: I have a 1994 Dodge Dakota, no power at low rpms

your problem may not be the engine. you may have a bad Torque Control Solenoid. try disconnecting the 4 plug ( square ) on the tranny. then drive it around. if it runs ,then you need to replace that Solenoid. call tranny shop for more

SOURCE: 95 dakota cranks but wont start

Well I'm a chrysler master tech & this is a little odd. There's alot of things not in the question so here are mine. I'm assuming it's a 3.9 no 4wd. When did this happen? When you check for power do you have some one turn the key on while you check? If still no power then make sure all the fuses are good from the one under the hood to the one inside the cab. Next be sure to check the grounds. You'll need to by a manual like a Haynes in order to get a decent wiring diagram. In a worst case senario the main power box under the hood has an issue & the asd relay gets no power, hence no start. Ran into it on a 95 caravan & it took a week to figure it out & no replacement was available & I had to hard wire it so it would run. Hope this helps.

Cylinder #3 or #5 Misfiring, basic Tuneup solves nothing

Well, it could be the coil pack. I assume it has one coil for every one or every two cylinders. Sometimes humidity will cause the coils to arc when they otherwise don't. If one coil serves cylinders 3&5, we might be on to something.

Also, agree that it could be an electronic module -- maybe the electonic ignition module.

One way to check the coils is to spray a liitle water (a mist) onto the coils at night with the engine running (in the dark so the arcs will be more easily seen).

05 dodge dakota,3.7L V-6 Spark plug or pcv?

sounds like your o2 sensors down at your catalytic convertor, aka your emissions sensors these will do that after thye engine is warm is when the catalytic convertor starts plugging up because of these sensors, its an emission thing that has been installed to control emissions of exhaust ya know fed things, anyway I have a dodge I love them, also no spark plugs they have things called coils, each one is very pricy about 50 bucks a piece, u usually need to change them all not just one I would take it to a muffler shop to have the o2 sensors at the cat replaced even if you have to take them out, unless emissions is required in your state, hope this helps.
