how many miles down your TJ have?

backfire through exhaust or the intake manifold?

I would check:
1. 02 sensor
2. clean the throttle body thoroughly by decarbonizing it as well as cleaning the IAC and TPS.

what was done from the tune-ups?

SOURCE: 99 jeep wrangler 4.0 backfires and hesitates

Fairly common problem. Typical scenario is start vehicle, runs fine for 15 to 30 seconds and begins to backfire when placed under load as customer tries to drive vehicle. Flooring usually makes the problem go away. Usually does not throw a code.

Fix is to replace the upstream 02 sensor.

SOURCE: power steering is out. overflow tank blowing smoke

The key to this is likely the belt. Is the belt there? Is the tension correct? If OK, do all the drive and driven pulleys turn when it is running? Did it overheat again on the trip back home? Check the system for leaks. Even if you find the problem was not the thermostat, change it. Do not change the pump unless it has a leak or other mechanical failure. Like a bad shaft bearing.

SOURCE: White smoke coming out of the exhaust when starting?

Hello;
Volumes of white smoke is an indication of water in the exhaust. A certain amount of vapor will be present on start up, but if it is different than what has been the norm for this vehicle then a check of the cooling system is in order.

Has the exhaust ( catalytic converter) been check for proper flow? I would try a test pipe to by-pass converter and see if that helps. You used to be able to buy them, but a good exhaust shop can make one pretty quick, and then try it.

White smoke came from the exhaust pipe and the car killed in motion. I check all fluid levels were fine, once i started the care again and proceeded the accleration was a bit rough. After a few minute

white smoke mostly is caused by over fueling so what i suggest you do is first of all check if there is no leak on the injectors and if there is none which means your valve sterm seals are damaged.When the head gasket is blown out you may have problems like :-loosing power when driving,over heating,idling problems and oil mixing with water, its not your head gasket.

My car oil goes down and smoke from exhaust

It's burning a lot of oil. You'll have to have the engine overhauled to fix it. Did it just start smoking and losing oil? Might be a broken oil ring. It is a bluish smoke out the exhaust? That's a sure sign of oil burning.

An exhaust leak ahead of the O2 sensor can cause this. Air leaking in gives it an inaccurate reading. Check ahead of the sensors for telltale black sooty streaks at your exhaust joints and tighten any you find loose. You can temporarily cover any small holes with some muffler tape as well. Hope this helps.

1992 gmc sierra turbo diesel starts and idles fine until warm up

It's time for a Italian tune up!

The blue smoke can be one of two thing.

oil drop from the valve stem (from engine head to cyclinders)
or
diesel soot collect inside the exhaust system.

===
I will take a 5-10 minutes high rpm (not redline) ran on the highway.
Pay close attention to the rear view mirror and look for black diesel soot.
=== I will use Diesel Cleen or similar product to condition the fuel. (keep moisture down)
Use the recommended amount of SEAFOAM oil additive to condition the valve stem seal/rubber parts.

I can not rule out excessive blown by.
Can you get a diesel compression tester?
When was the last valve adjustment?

Please post the actual odometer on the engine and I will follow up on it.
