Need firing order diagram..

For 2000 Nissan Maxima SE 3.0 liter DOHC V-6 (VQ30DE) check this...

The spark plugs are located under the coils. There are three towards the front of the car under the 3.0 plastic cover. The other three are towards the firewall in the air intake plenum. All you have to do is remove the bolt that is holding the coil, I believe it is a 10 mm then you "slide out" the coil which has a plastic extension going into the engine. You need a ratchet with an extension to remove the plug. Reverse to reinstall plugs. Repeat as necessary.

Hope helps (remember rated this).

My 97 oldsmobile cutlass supreme is leaking coolant and over heating, why? I also noticed tht the oil is milky. Please help

The most likely source of your problem is NOT a head gasket or cracked head, but the black plastic plenum or "upper intake manifold". These GM engines tend to melt, crack, or warp the plenum because of the hot EGR tube sticking up through the plastic.

If water is getting into your oil (milky looking), your lower intake manifold gasket is probably cracked. Once the plenum is off the engine, there are only about a dozen bolts holding the lower intake manifold on. When you replace the gasket, it is recommended to use an ALL METAL gasket with rubber seals to prevent this from happening again. The metal gaskets cost about $80 where as the plastic ones that are prone to breaking cost about $45. Better to fix it right once than to do it wrong several times.

Also, if you are still using Dexcool coolant (orangeish), be sure to change it every two years or so as it does bad things to seals when it gets old.

Instructions on changing the timing cover gasket on a 1991 ford thunderbird with 3.8 liter v6 engine

first you have to diconnect throttle cable and trans kick down from throttle body. than disconnect wires and vacuum hoses and remove upper intake manifold plenum. that should give you access to valve covers . Remove bolts from covers and change gaskets. also replace the gasket on the upper intake plenum. install items in reverse order of removal. keep track of vacuum lines where the go when you remove . mark with tape their location.

Where is the PVC valve 3800 engine

Where is the PVC valve? Standing in Front of the car it is on the left side of the air plenum. Unscrew the oil filler tube and remove the plastic engine cover. There is a sensor on the left side of the plenum. This sensor senses when the PVC valve is open/closed. Don't bother disconnecting the connector or the piece the connector plugs into. Simply twist the whole plastic assembly clockwise = yes clockwise while pressing downward to release the assembly. There is a spring underneath so don't let it pop up. With the assembly out of the way grab the PVC valve with a pair of needle nose pliers, wriggle the valve out. If the o-ring is ok put it on the new PVC valve. Drop the valve in place making sure it seats on the o-ring. Look at the bottom of the assembly to see how the slots line up with the tabs. Slip the slots down over the tabs compressing the spring and twist counter-clockwise. Replace the plastic engine cover, Done!

Fuel system shot, must remove top part of engine, costly, $1,200.00new system

MMmm plastic what injectors .. you might need to remove the fuel rail and intake plenum to work ... but theres nothing plastic down below the manifold... if the wrong amount of fuel in an OBD2 car or truck burns too much fuel the oxygen sensor reads it and the computer automatically cuts or leans fuel to the motor through the injectors for the green people .=)

Replace cabin pollen filter 2005 jaguar xkr

To get to the cabin air filter on an XK8 or XKR, you have to do the following steps (I know these steps sound ridiculous...as in many cars there is just a simple cover in the engine compartment... but...): The air filter is under the black plastic cowl or plenum that is just under the windshield wiper blade connectors. To get to that, you must 1. carefully lift off the plastic covers that reveal screw heads. Remove the screws. 2. lift off the plastic covers that are on the top of each windshield wiper connector - under the cover you will then see a nut or bolt that has to be unscrewed. 3. Using a small puller (the puller that lifts off battery terminals works for this) lift off each windshield wiper and disconnect the rubber hose from each. 3. lift the car's front hood, and remove the plastic cowling (you also have to lift the side rubber runners and a rubber strap from each side that holds up the rubber drain hoses). Once you remove that plastic cowling, you will see the air filter plenum at the back of the engine area. The air filter should come vertically out of that. (This air filter does not exist on my 2000 and earlier editions...I am not sure what year Jaguar installed them.) Full instructions are on the Jaguar JTIS CD which you should obtain...look online for that.

Coolant leak

Had this same problem. The plenum has a coolant port for the EGR valve which lets in a small amount of coolant. The intake plenum is plastic and will leak coolant into the lower manifold. You will need to replace the warped leaking plenum with a new one, flush the engine, Coolant DOES NOT LUBRICATE THE MOTOR!!! CHANgE OIL & FILTER.I did this myself, lots of stuff to remove & replace. Runs like new after replacing the plenum.
