I have a 2007 Saturn out look. My check engine light has been on. I checked it it had exhuast bank 1 camshaft sensor. One day it died I brought it him and said 3 of the 4 can sensors where out. Knowing the 1 bank one was bad I changed it. I finally broke down and bought all 3. Changed the other 2 and lights still on and its backfireing through the intake. thanks jason

is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?
if a 4 cylinder it will only have 2 o2 sensors
V6 will have 4 o2 senors which the sensor will be the right side of the engine first sensor.
1st sensor on exhaust, I recommend if you change one change all, as this will make the computer when it rechecks the system you have all clean/fast responding sensors.

if you have a slow response it means the sensor is dirty and not reading well, which is usually caused by minor misfires that the engine computer dismisses, so a tune up would be recommended too.

if u have one oxygen sensor then u need to take a deep look at the bottom of ur car it will be somewhere at the Exhaust pipe if u have a catalytic converter then u will have two oxygen sensors one before the catalytic converter & the other will be after the catalytic converter. Note: the catalytic converter is located at after a little bit of beginning in Exhaust pipe.

What was the code? lean mixture? If so make sure there is no leak in the exhaust. I have worked on a lexus suv, but it was an 89. It had a lean mixture code. After examination I noticed a exhaust leak which was not apparent at first, there is a section in the exhaust the is very thin, and prone to leakage, causing the lean mixture code.

It is not hard to change the sensor, it just screws into a threaded hole. The light will not go out immeditaly, after the sensor is replaced. It needs to go thru a drive cycle. Your best bet is to replace the sensor and get the code cleard by whoever scanned it for the 0031 code.

Not sure that the O2 sensor was bad. It sounds like it was telling you that side of the exhaust system was picking up a lean mixure at the O2 sensor. The O2 sensor was doing its job by telling you the mixture changed. If the O2 sensor was bad, it would say low voltage range for that sensor, or open curcuit.
Now the car has had time to do its diagnostic sweep, it is telling you the same thing, but from a different sensor...the fuel mix is too lean. Air/spark/and fuel is what you need in the correct amounts. In your car, the ECM engine control module controls this by taking readings from all the sensors several hundred times a second.
Mechanically, you have a few options. Change the fuel filter...under the car on the passenger side. It is an easy job.
Change the fuel pressure regulator. This keeps the fuel at 4 BAR so the fuel injectors can do their job correctly. This job just needs a screw driver to pop off the clip that holds it in place. No hoses need to be removed. It is on top of the intake manifold, in-line with a metal fuel line and a rubber one.
The fuel injectors could be clogged up on one side of the engine. Run some fuel injector cleaner through a tank of gas. Also, listen for a constant ticking sound at each injector. If one sounds off PAR, then replace it.
The fuel pump may not be giving you enough power. However, the readings seem to be localized to one side, so I doubt it.
Start with the easiest thing, and see if it works. Also, you will need to get yourself a VAG scan tool. It is the only one with codes in it for all of your VW systems, not just engine codes like the ODB scanners. You can get a nice one for $50 on-line.

Remove the driver side rear ignition coil bolts. Reposition the coil. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector. # Use penetrating oil and allow the oil to soak around the CKP sensor prior to removing the sensor. You're looking at left, rear side of engine.

Code p0014 exhaust and code p0015 exhaust


The code P0014 is for Camshaft Positon Sensor Actuator Bank 1. The possible causes are incorrect camshaft timing, wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve solenoid system; continuous oil flows to VCT piston chamber or failed timing valve control solenoid(stuck open).
The code P0015 is for Camshaft Position -Timing Over-******** (Bank 1). Your problem will probably be that the timing will be slightly out, due to wear (stretch) of the timing chain; this will all be linked to the overall cold start issue and the timing position. Get that timing checked, or push for the full fix for the cold start timing issue.

Check oil level and quality.
Remove n clean exhaust camshaft vanost actuator.
Do not refit to exhaust cam, but swap with inlet actuator.
clear codes...if eml on again see if fault moved to inlet cam. If so replace the actuator.

Where is camshaft sensor bank 1 located in 2007 Chevy Aveo sedan?


On the 1.6 liter the value cover and upper timing cover need to be removed to replace the cam sensor. It will be mounted in between the two cam gears.

These are all the definitions for your codes.
It's hard to give an exact cause for these codes because of there are a number of different items that could cause these.
The first one could be caused by Incorrect camshaft timing,
VCT solenoid valve stuck open or continuous oil flow to piston chamber,
Camshaft advance mechanism binding, or faulty VCT unit,
The others are most likely bad sensors.
I wish I could be more help but it's difficult to trouble shoot this kind of problem without having the vehicle here in front of me.
