Sounds like you just need to replace the bulb.If all other lights are working,make sense the only one that don't work,would be burned out.Bulb holder may not even be in it's socket.

It's on the side of the transmission under the drivers door. The shift cable runs to the control arm it is under.

Rick,I had the same proplem with 96 Explorer.It can be fixed,but I had to take mine to the garage.It wasn't as cheap as I thought it would be.Sorry

You can try shifting into manual 1 to get moving then once you get going shift the lever up into Drive. This should work, then drive it to a shop to have your ****** looked at.

My ford expedition 99 has service engine soon light on. Hooked up to ODB and the equipment showed nothing; no power; checked on different car worked fine. what is cause. Equipment has worked on another ford expedition before by the way.

Brake light issue.


the brake lights switch of the expedition is connected to the cruise control system. get yourself a wiring diagram and sort out the problem. i have read of fires being caused by that problem so be carefull.
