Has the car been in an accident? You may have to replace the upper ball joints as well. And you will have to get an alignment after that. I would get the tire set correctly before I started changing bearings. Of course it may be that the bearing is so bad that that is what is causing the wheel to lean so badly?
With the car jacked up, can you move the wheel laterally - it should be very tight.

not press fitted, standard tapered bearings, if 4X4 it is a little more involved, just dont misplace any of the smaller parts and you will be fine.

Rebuilt trans installed in 2011. seal leaked in 2012 and was replaced. 2015 leaking again after 7000 miles. Why?

seals depend on a properly positioned shaft upon which they run
most people when reconditioning a transmission neglect to replace the output shaft ( drive shaft) bush in the transmission extension housing which allows the shaft to move concentric to the seal edge
the seal then cannot preform its duty as the seal surface is continually lost and so leaks
So it would appear that the bush is worn or in the case of transverse transmissions a possible failing bearing or bush

Is a 2004 ford f-150 2wd carrier bearing.. ( mid-mount bearing ) on driveshaft replaceable, or do i have to replace entire driveshaft?

it is replaceable
normally it comes complete in the rubber mount
you will have to undo the drive shaft flange at the bearing
remove the drive shaft and take it to an accredited drive shaft repair shop or take the vehicle to an accredited drive line specialist shop
the repair will require that you place the flange back on the shaft after the bearing replacement in exactly the right position or you will get harmonic vibration after the job so talk with the experts first if you want to diy

How to change a hanger bearing on a 97 ford e 350

Best way to get it off the drive shaft is to cut it off with a torch. These will and do lock on to the drive shaft. and are almost impossible to get them off with out some sort of heat, high heat. With a torch you have to watch and only cut threw most of it. Do not cut the shaft, this is bad. If you are not good with a torch, then I suggest you remove the shaft and bearing and take it to a shop.

Bad vibration in truck, not so much in the wheel but it's hard to tell. Starts around 30 to 40 mph and continues till 50 mph. A mechanic friend told me it may be the u-joints and/or (drive shaft) hanger...

that was good advice, it does sound like a u-joint, on these trucks the best way to check the joints is to remove the drive shaft, and flex each joint by hand to make sure each has free movement.

Well, I think that the entire shaft should be replaced if it can be done so economically.
I like your idea bout putting high temp bearing grease down at the base of it, though. Did you use moly grease?

Strange, when I looked up the 2000 3.8L mustang it said that the 3.8L and v8 engines used DIS, or distributorless Ignition System which doesn't use a conventional distributor.
