I am not very good with electronics. However I have had a problem in the past with certain code readers that were not compatible with a certain make of vehicle, even though the manufacturer claimed it would read all OBD II vehicles. Try to have the codes read on a different code analyzer.

I have a 2002 non turbo PT Cruiser with new zero miles engine installed. Engine will not run as computer is locked in Theft Mode. We never had an alarm system installed but I'm told the car is wired and...

The ECU is not reading the chip in the key. Replacing the ECU will not solve the problem. It is an input issue(signal to ECU) not an output issue ( signal from ECU). Perform an OBDII scan of stored fault history. Probably an ignition switch problem.

Drove car to lunch shut it down when we returned to car it would turn over but not start.I towed it home look at all obvious connections to see if anything loose the proceeded to hook up a computer scanner...

Computers get hot, it's just thier nature. Before you replace the computer , make sure your security light is not on. Also check the ecm/pcm fuse, all igntion fuses, and the auxillary and cigarette lighter fuse. One of these will power the DLC connector, retry reading the computer.

2002 Chevy Silverado, crank sensor installed. can't start truck.

After installing a new crank sensor, a Tech 2 will need to be hooked up in order to complete what is called a relearn procedure on the new crank sensor. Until this is done, your truck's ECM is unable to determine when cylinder #1 is at TDC and electronic timing is unable to be performed. Need to tow to GM dealership for this proceedure.

1990 deville, replaced ecm, fuel pump, filters,

wow...BIG problem...I'd say you have a bad ECM - maybe you hooked it up "hot"? otherwise, check all grounds for secure connections.
