Location input speed sensor

yes if you want to do it . locate it on the side of the transmission. it should be the only thing plugged into the front side of the transmission. some are harder to find but you have to take the road shield off the underside of the vehicle-(about 6 bolts), then you will see the oil pan and transmission pan and transmission. you may have to jack up the vehicle so make sure you find the jack points for it in the owners manual. if not look them up on the Hyndai site. the only problem you may run into is if you have to take off the tailpipe or not. most of them the speed sensor is accessible.

The speed sensor is located on the side of the gearbox case. It should require one bolt to be removed, and it's wiring decoupled, and 'pop' it should pull right out.

Volvo speed sensor

Do a continuity test from the speed sesor harness connector to the PCM (computer), do both wires. if these show no loss of connection then pull the sensor (at the transmissiom) and make sure the gear that drives it is ok, if that checks out replace the sensor.
