Question about 2000 Volvo S70
S70 automatic - Car doesn't have the power it had before. I practically have to almost floor it going up inclines. The engine is having to work alot harder than before. When I turn the car off the fan stays on now, never did that before. It began when it wouldn't go into 2nd gear right away, it sputtered before it would kick in.
Mechanic said on his plug-in machine it showed the Knock Sensor # 1 as being the problem. He cleaned them but the car is still doing everything I stated.
I feel like I'm going to burn the engine up in its' current situation.
Ok, i would advise to replace the knock sensor in this case. just cleaning them will not fix this issue. The sensor should be replaced. Secondly, this actually sounds lie, a malfunctioning PCM(aka ecm or ecu) at this point. I would have it checked asap.
