Check for Leak in your Heater Core... ie; Passanger Side floor board. up the carpet to the Firewall and behind the center Console. If this is a Slow leak the carpet might not show wet. Check the padding under the carpet.

1998 nissan maxima problem water in the oil

If there is water in the oil, it wouldn't last long under the heat/pressure of the engine, so if you are seeing water it must be super fresh. Are you losing coolant? If so, then i'd suspect water pump/water pump gasket if you never had that replaced. It could be head gasket, but you would probably experience a consistent coolant loss with maybe loss of power or misfiring. You can check with a pressure/leak down test for head gasket. Either way, if you are losing coolant I'd check water pump. If you aren't losing coolant than it can't be the water pump or head gasket really letting "water" in.

My 1996 Nissan Maxima has a milky colour engine oil & white smoke from the exhaust.

you probably have a leaking head, water is getting into the oil. if it does not stop, then try some engine seal, and engine honey. if that doesnt work, be prepared for some major work.

Hi, i have a 1992 Nissan Maxima with a 3.0 v6. It was running like a champ, and then i took it to a car wash and sprayed the engine down. After that the car started to miss, backfire, and lose power. Were...

Just speaking from prior experience on this one. If the engine was very hot and it was hosed down with cold water, then it could be likely that you possibly cracked the head and it is sucking air into the cylinder's during the firing process which too much air and fuel mixing when the spark plug fires causes a misfire. Take the vehicle to a respectable mechanic and tell them exactly what happened and they'll take care of the rest.

My 1997 Nissan Maxima 4 door sedan is leaking coolant/anti-freeze. What could be the source of this leak? We fill it up and after several days it is out and the engine gauge is running hot.

could be the water pump. where is the coolant coming from?? behind the a/c compresor?? if so, you need a new water pump. need to know location of the leak or at least general location if you can not get exact.

I have a 2000 nissan maxima and just recently i noticed it was running hot. so i took it to my mechanic and he advised i needed a new water pump. so he replaced the water pump and he is saying it is still...

hot engine usually due to clogged radiator or bad thermostat. Take out the thermostat and make sure it is opening fully in boiling water.
Look inside your radiator for signs of clogging. If yes, professionally flush or replace radiator.

Water leaking

check your car oil if its already white! if its not, its leaking outside!
fill the radiator but make sure you dont overspill it so you wont get some parts wet, wipe/dry wet parts, start engine for a while then try to see where water is coming from. if you haven't seen it but other parts have gone wet, stop engine. then
carefully check on water hose connections and water pump gasket.check for drips, water will definitely run out from it!
hope i could help you more!

On a V6 2000 Nissan Maxima where is the water pump located? Antifreeze is leaking out is this where I should start looking for the problem?

a lot depends on the location of the water leak.  If you have checked all the hoses, clamps, radiator and cap.  There isn't a lot left. The water pump is on the front of the engine under the timing belt shroud.  This would also be a good time to replace the drive belts, timing belt, any soft hoses and anything else that's iffy.
