My 2002 3.5 oil lite came on and then stop running. The engine overheated, made some small bottom end noises and so I stop driving. Took off oil pan and oil suction screen was 90% clogged. The clog was the result of pep boys pouring radiator sealer in oil fill tube. Although pep boys changed the oil four times my Montero Sport had the problems mentioned above six months later. I have taken the top manifoilds and other parts in order to tune up engine. I have also clean suction screen. Should I put the top end back together and see if the clean suction of oil has solved the problem or go ahead and tear into the short block to see if there was any other damage?

clean and or replace the terminal and sender for the oil pressure. they corrode pretty badly
SOURCE: Gear Neutral light blinking while the gear is on
I believe it means that your transmission fluid is either getting too hot, or there's not enough fluid
