Crank position sensor is hitting flywheel flywheel got damaged somehow can I bend it down with out a problem or is a new one a must need

What type of car is this..but to answer your question the flywheel would have to be out of round to make contact with the crank sensor i suspect you have a cracked or broken flywheel most of the time they will break at the center of the flywheel where the crankshaft attaches to the flywheel and would still drive for some time

1997 jeep wrangler 6 cylinder flywheel torque

It depends on what you are calling "flywheel". If it is a manual transmission, the vehicle is equiped with a true "flywheel", if it is equipped with an automatic transmission, it is equipped with a "flex plate" which a lot of people refer to as a flywheel.

With that said the torque specs are:
Flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts - 105 Ft. Lbs (142 N.m)
Flexplate-to-crankshaft bolts - 55 Ft. Lbs (75 N.m)

How do i tell the differance in a starter problem or a flywheel problem?

That sounds like the starter motor is engaging but the starter is not kicking the gear into the flywheel. It is a common problem. If it were the flywheel it would have to have a couple broken teeth, if that were the case, when it got into them, you wouldn't be able to start it without turning the flywheel.
You need a new starter, or rebuilt.

Cost to replace starter & flywheel on a 2003

for the starter and flywheel 1400 sounds right they would have to take the tranny out to get to the fly wheel but why do they need to replace the fly wheel did your old starter do a lot of grinding its not to often you have to replace a flywheel unless the starter wrecked it somehow again not to often starters are ment to break before it wrecks the flywheel the flywheel made of harder metel i would get a second opinion on replacing the flywheel
