Leaking oil from front of motor

"possibly" front seal(crankshaft) if it's from lower pulley where timing mark is; you sure it's not dripping from valve cover?,oil breather cap?,etc.,running down to lowest part of engine??; I would steam clean entire engine, then run it for a little while then start checking for leaks.....starting from top part of engine as fluids run """downhill""...ha,ha. Hope this helps.

My 2003 regal is running hot and slowly leaking all the coolant out. Can anybody tell me what the problem is?

Yes, you are running hot from leaking all your coolant out. No one can tell you where it is leaking without looking at it. Could be a hose leaking, the radiator, a bad head gasket or intake gasket, the water pump...if coolant is leaking from the front of the engine, that could be the water pump or radiator hose or a water pump gasket. Pretty common for the water pump to leak when it is worn out, that's how you know when to change it.

When you fill the radiator and overflow tank back up to full, does the engine still run hot? If it does, I would not advise running it-have a shop diagnose it before more serious damage occurs. Head gasket repairs can get very expensive-that is the danger you are facing, and if the head gasket has already gone bad from overheating, continued running of the engine can cause you to have to replace the engine. Overheating is a major cause of early engine failure.

Try to determine where the leak is, from where it drips off the engine. The coolant constantly circulates from the engine to the radiator and back into the engine. The heater hoses circulate coolant from the engine to the heater core in the heater case and back into the engine. Besides the overflow tank, these are the only places coolant would be on the car. The engine can leak coolant from a lot of places, but if leaking to the outside, you should be able to spot where it is coming from. Good luck.

Won't start when facing uphill or flat only when facing downhill.

sounds like a fuel pump fault, gravity is the only thing feeding the engine, then when engine is running the suction is sucking fuel in.

Brake light comes on when sitting downhill

It sounds like your brake pedal might hang like a pendulum, and swings forward hitting the brake light switch when the car is tilted down hill. Look under the dash and see if there is a retainer spring that has come disengaged, or look to see if there is a place for one. Go to an online parts lookup and see if there is supposed to be one that is missing on your vehicle.

Ford taurus 1993 coolant dripping at small tube connection at bottom left

I do not know what "small tube connection" you would be refering to. The only thing I can tell you about coolant leaks for sure is LOOK UP. Coolant always runs downhill. Follow the coolant trail up and you will find the source of the leak.

This is also much easier to do if you use a cooling sytem pressure tester.

Antifreeze leaking over by harmanik balance

Hi Sarah,

I assume that you meant to say "harmonic balancer".
The first thing you need to keep in mind when it comes to fluid leaks is that they ALWAYS run downhill. The leak could be originating from several different places depending on WHICH ENGINE your Impala is equipped with. (This is really need-to-know information if you would like help with with your car - especially when we are talking about an engine problem.)
Anyway, It could be coming from the water pump or the intake manifold. If your car is equipped with a 3.8L engine, it is common for the plastic water pump by-pass tube to crack. I have also seen the timing covers leaking on the front of some of the GM V-6 engines. Then again, it could be something much more expensive to fix like a leaking head gasket. What you need to do is to follow the trail of antifreeze UP from where it is dripping/leaking under the car to find the source. The harmonic balancer is pretty much the lowest point on the front of your engine. ALL of the engine coolant (antifreeze) is in the UPPER half of the engine.

Water leaking from evaporator i have cleaned out evaporator tube but still leaking on lhf floor

Try removing the cowling cover under the hood. There is a cabin air filter under there. See if there are any leaves, etc. built up in there. There is also some concerns that there may be a blockage in the drainage system surrounding your sun roof, if you have one. Check that also. If that does not work, you can also park with the nose of the car facing downhill somewhat. That always works for us.

My 2003 dodge neon sprays the transmission fluid all over the front of the engine block almost as if it was coming from the radiator fan. How do i find the leak?

The radiator has tranny coolant passeges that are pressurized. You obviously sprung a leak in the radiator.Clean everything off w/Engine Degreaser or brake cleaner. Have someone start engine for a moment and look closely at front of radiator facing engine for the leak
