SOURCE: where do i find a knock sensor a 1993 gmc sierra

Should be on the right side of the engine by the starter.Has a 1 wire connector. It does not go into the cooling system so you can just take it out without draining the coolant.Hope this helps.Good luck.

SOURCE: how to change a fuel level sensor in the gas tank

It is installed in the fuel from the top of the tank so the fuel tank has to come out. You have to disconnect the electal plug, the fuel lines, the filler tube and EVAP hose and unbolt the fuel tank straps. On some vehicals pulling the drive shaft is a must some it just makes it a lot easyer. The sending unit is where the fuel lines and wires go into the tank.

I am a woman learning to fix my 2002 GMC Envoy and it is knocking and the oil disappeared. I had an oil change about 2 months ago.

Could need an engine rebuild you cannot drive without oil and not do damage to the bearings.

Changed plugs 04 envoy still hesitant between 20&30mph acceleration after that is slow too. Any answers?????

Wires, distributor, rotor, vacuum leak, O2 sensors, air filter, fuel filter, bad gas. old gas. Throttle positioning sensor, fuel regulator, weak fuel pump, dirty throttle body. Knock out all of the routine maintenance items, check for codes at advanced auto(even if your engine light is not on) and then re-evaluate it from there. And clean your fuel system at your next fill up with a can of B-12 Chem Tool from the additives section at Walmarts auto section.

Number 6 misfire changed plugs coil and injector still misses sometimes

Yes a valve problem could cause the loss in power on one cylinder.
That could show up in a compression test.
You need compression, spark at the right time, and fuel. Replacing the parts does not mean they are working tho.

A knock sensor is a device that measures vibration and sends a signal to the computer to turn back the spark timing to prevent knock. The sensor does not know where the vibration is coming from.

My 2003 gmc envoy has p0303 error code. I have since changed the plugs but the code is still there. What else should I look at before changing the expensive coil on cylinder 3?

To find out if it is the coil pack, swap #3 pack with another cylinder and see if the fault changes. If not, you should check the compression on cylinder #3. If that is OK, I would suspect a bad injector.

Engine light/ knocking sensor

The knock sensor is for the timing advance on your envoy. It will not be related to your sparkplugs. Your knock sensor will be screwed into the engine block, or under the intake depending on model. The V8 engine is under the intake.
