Question about 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
I have a serious dilema here trying to get my car to start, I'm running in circles trying to get my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee (V8) to run...it Died on me in February on one of the main roads, it seemed like it was doggin a bit, and when I hit the brakes ( Bam! ) the thing dies and would not start. When I tried to restart it I could hear a bunch of clicking so I thought that I smoked the timing chain. Needles to say I've replaced a ton of stuff ( listed below )
New Timing Set
New Fuel Pump ( Which I know is good - I hotwired it w/ 12v to test and it pumps )
New Filter / Regulator
New Fuel Pump Relay
I know that the 20A fuse isn't blown, and I know that I get voltage to the connector when cranking...I verified it with a voltmeter. I also know that when I spray the intake with starting fluid it runs ( for about 3-5 seconds ), so I know I'm getting spark and that the timing is correct. I"m completely lost here...the car will not pump fuel still, I have the fuel line disconnected at the rails and when I crank the engine...nothing.
Could it be the PCM? I really don't know what else to replace...
How to prime feul?
