I have a 2003 VW Golf and my check engine light is on. I have been told it is the Oxygen Sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 2. How much will this cost to replace? And how important is it? My car keeps staling when I...

Likely about 160 to replace. It isn't that important. Bank 1 sensor 2 just tells the computer if the catalytic converter is working. Bank 1 sensor 2 wouldn't cause your stalling problem.

How to change clutch on vw golf year 2000

If you're asking this question, I two assumptions 1) that it's your first time because clutch replacement procedure is generally the same as any make of vehicle. It requires allen and 12pt bits (spline drive) so you can remove the starter, bell housing, CV joints and specially a 30mm x 6pt x 1/2 deep socket. A 1/2" drive torque wrench is needed as well to torque everything down to spec. If this doesn't deter you from doing it yourself then a public library usually has Clymers or Chilton service manuals for most vehicles available for reference. So my other assumption is you don't have a manual and need free information. Good luck and always let Safety be a priority.

Same problem in my Golf 3, 1.4 petrol, 1993

carb?? electric pump ¿¿ something not right here or you havent got a carb and you just cleaned the mono point injection ,if its monopoint injection then take the little box thingy off the right hand side of the (carb) as you call it and inside is a carbon track path ...check it ,this will cause the pulse in the gas pedal as for the alarm ,sounds like a weekend mechanic boy racer thing ,best advice here is to cut it right out out and put it on the garage shelf where it belongs to collect dust

Re sitting the radio in my VW golf

The number buttons on the stereo change the code, so push the 1 button 3 times for 3, 2 button 1 time for 1, and so on. If your code was 2255, you'd hit the 1 button 2 times, the 2 button 2 times, the 3 button 5 times, and the 4 button 5 times. When the code is displayed on the screen, you press Mode and Scan at the same time AND HOLD THEM until the radio unlocks. It'll let you know if it's the right number.

Vw golf .... alpha...... safe 2

"2 safe" means that your radio was in safe mode, and then the code was improperly entered 2 times. you either need to disconnect your battery and leave it for up to 4 hours (i've been told), or leave your key in the ignition for around an hour.

once it comes out of "2 safe" mode, then it will just say SAFE and give you the numbers 1-0-0-0. You just need to enter the 4 digit code (using your pre-set numbers 1-2-3-4 to change the numbers), then hold the seek > button and your radio should come on.

If you don't have the code, call VW. they'll find your code for free. they did for me. if not they'll charge like $50 or something.
