SOURCE: Check engine light is on

no such thing as a catalytic computer... there is a catalytic converter ... part of the exhaust system so they may now be "guessing" that it's an O2 sensor. take the car to autozone... they will scan the codes for free.... post the codes here tho the lads and lasses there are pretty clever and will probably tell you what the codes mean.

SOURCE: My ls460 has been standing

You have overcharged the power to the cars on board computer and confused it. Remove both battery connections and leave to stand overnight preferably, this in most cases resets the computer and will turn the lights off.

The thing is once you triggered them the computer is told to not turn them off without the help of a dealer. Removing the power source from the computer for a short time wont do anything as the car has a small battery within the ECU to keep it going, 24hrs is normally enough.

Hope that helps

My car is a Peugeot 308 HDI. When I start the car the following warning comes Eco drive deactivated How do I reactive the Eco drive and is it safe to drive whilst deactivated

Eco Drive is the automatic stop/start system that some refer to a a mini-hybrid.

I know little about them but I believe the facility can be switched off and therefore can be switched on. I don't know how but the answer might be found in the vehicle handbook or at your local Peugeot dealer.

It will certainly be safe to drive - the facility automatically stops working if the battery charge level drops below a certain value. Whenever the battery is disconnected/removed/replaced the on-board computer must be reset with dedicated diagnostic equipment for the system to work correctly, I hear.

I had a locked car light come on in my 2006 chevy malibu, it no longer will drive. doesnt turn off, goes in reverse but when in drive, just revs like the car is in neutral, why?

The lock an car symbol is for the anti-theft system ! By not turning off, do you mean you can't turn the key to the off position or you can turn the key to off but the car won't shut off ?
It sounds like you have a Power Mode Mismatch
The ignition switch is an input to the BCM - body control module an if something happens to the system , the BCM will keep the vehicle in the last known mode Since the operation of the vehicle systems depends on the power mode, there is a fail-safe plan in place should the power mode master (PMM) fail to send a power mode message. The fail-safe plan covers those modules, using exclusively serial data control of power mode, as well as those modules with discrete ignition signal inputs.
You could have an ignition switch problem or something wrong with the BCM .
Discrete Ignition Signals Those modules that have discrete ignition signal inputs, also remain in the state dictated by the last valid PMM message received on the serial data circuits. They then check the state of their discrete ignition input to determine the current valid state. If the discrete ignition input is active, battery positive voltage, the modules will fail-safe to the RUN power mode. If the discrete ignition input is not active, open or 0 volts, the modules will fail-safe to OFF-AWAKE. In this state, the modules are constantly checking for a change status message on the serial data circuits and can respond to both local inputs and serial data inputs from other modules on the vehicle.
This is one you need to take to the dealer because they have a factory scan tool !

2007. Why did check engine light and VSC message come on?

Your VSC system doesn't have anything to do with your gas cap, unfortunately. You're going to either need an OBD2 Scanner to read the messages for your check engine light or take it to a mechanic/dealership to read the code and reset that light. You can also go to Autozone if memory serves and borrow a scanner to see the codes. You can pick up scanners from amazon for 10-50 USD, or about 40 USD from Autozone. Your VSC system not working means that you're not going to have optimal stability while driving until you can get the system operational again. Note that since it's Toyota Proprietary, you will not be able to read the VSC codes with the scanner, just the standard check engine codes. If your vehicle's braking system still seems to work, it could be a sensor malfunction, but I would recommend you take your vehicle to a Toyota dealership (unfortunately) to see if they can find the fault. Don't let them BS you either...

I have a 2010 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl I was driving to work and a message came up stating service stabilitrac and it also says engine power reduce will turning off the (tracking control off will this help the...

Unless you are a qualified and certified mechanic (if you were, you would not be here asking how to fix it), take your vehicle to an authorized dealer, and get them to fix the problem. IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE, especially during winter, until you get if fixed. Or, trade-in the vehicle.

My Volks wagen Golf told me abou oil press, What does it mean

it means that the oil pressure is too low for safe operation. stop and check oil level. If the level is right get it to a dealer service centre to have the pressure checked on a mechanical gauge as it may be just the sender unit. no oil pressure is very unforgiving in an engine and very costly.

did you read the operators guide, yet, no, then nows the time.
no year, ?
in general it will say, all cars
stop driving bad. (you doing skid on purpose?)
if it come back with good driving,
get it serviced. can be bad brakes too.

best answer (of the inane on the web)(a real tech answers)
If you haven't read your owner's manual on when the VSC light may normally be on and off, do that first. Then, if it's not functioning the way the owner's manual says it should and is indicating a VSC error condition, have the dealer read out the VSC error codes again. When the error code lamp is lit, that means there is a current code and fault in the VSC system. The dealer technician then follows a troubleshooting procedure for those error codes.

the lamp can warn of driving wrong
or if there is a problem , get your operators guide and read it.

if on ice, it might be normal. see?
if on ice and you drive like crazy, it might not be able to correct
crazy, so glows the lamp.

What does check vsc mean

It means Vehicle Stability Control, usually dealing with an advanced ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System). It that light/message is on, then you will not have ABS, it goes into "LIMP" mode and disables the system. Your conventional (normal) hydraulic brakes will not be affected at all. I would definitely have this problem checked out by the dealer.

The o/d off light is flashing

When the O/D (Over drive) light flashes, it's telling you that you need to get the vehicle in to your closest Ford dealer service center before any serious damage occurs. It also goes into what is called: "Limp Mode", which will automatically kick in a fail safe strategy that only engages 3rd gear. This way the damage done to the transmission is kept to a minimum. I would have the vehicle towed to the closest Ford dealer, and would stop driving it if you haven't already. I can only say that I hope it is something minor like a malfunctioning TCM, or a bad shift solenoid. Good luck, I hope this info helps!
