SOURCE: ford ikon low beam globes keep blowing

are they loose?? every how many days approximately you have to replace them??

If you have to replace them very often it's possible that there's a small short circuit in the car. If this is the case i suggest you to disconect the battery of the car and with a tester check if there's continuity between the positive and the negative of one globe and then the other. if so, you need to take your car to an auto electrician to find specifically where the problem is.

Any problems changing 55 low beam/65 high beam to xenon 90 watt low beam/100 watt high beam

Check the size of the cables coming to your headlight. A higher lamp wattage would require more amperes for the wires to carry.

On a 1995 chevy g20 van aren't all four headlights suppose to be active on high beams?

mostly no. there are two beams circuits A high beam (2 globes one each side) and a low beam circuit ( 2 bulbs one on each side) The globes should be A4 bulbs which have 3 pins on the back One pin is high beam and the other pin is for low beam while the middle pin is the earth pin for both sides.

The dim lights don't work on my 2006 Kia Spectra, but the brights do. What could be the problem?

Assume you're referring to 'low beams' not working? and 'high beams' are? Both circuits run they're own relays and fuses, check owners manual for locations, could be faulty relay (check by swapping with high beam relay) or blown fuse. Also find occasionally, both globes blown, high and low beam filaments in same globe

The headlights on my 1989 mazda 626 work fine, but the high beams dont work at all.Can you help?

replace the globes , the high beam and low beam are in the same globe , i have berfore had this happen , when replacing dont let any part of your fingers or hands touch glass part of bulb , or you may find you will be doing this again very shortly.
any finger print will cause a hot pot on globe and cause future failure .

if you remove a globe you may visually look at it and see if one of the to globes springs are broken , or is there is any discolourment in the globe itself , just change the one that is easiest to get first and test , then if that works fine , then you wont have to check any futher wiring problems.

but i am sure this will be the reason for no high beam , unless you high beam switch on light swith lever arm is faulty .
but globes are cheap so begin there first.. hope this is helpful

Hi all fuses good but can not get low beam to go, hi beam will go and park lights also work.

Have you checked the headlight globes? The Low Beam filaments usually burn out well before the High beam ones because the Low beam is used most of the time. Access to the globes is via the rear of the light assemblies in the engine bay.
