Question about 2001 Ford F150 Styleside SuperCrew
I changed oil and filter on trans. replaced fuel filter and air filter 2001 f150 2wd 4.2 kingcab
Best thing to do is go to a transmission shop with a tech 2 scanner and have them scan the truck and do a transmission line pressure test. Your lock up clutch could be slipping and you may get a few more years by having your transmission line pressure raised. The tech 2 should be able to do this so you don't have the drop the transmission. It's not a permanent fix, it's just going to give you a few more years before your lock up converter clutch gives way. Good luck and hope this helps saves you some money before you have to replace the worn parts.
