Is the headlight bucket of my 1198 Cadillac Seville interchangeable with a 1197 Cadillac Seville?

there is a plastic black cover on the front of the engine compartment that has a couple of creases in it where you can lift the cover to reveal the headlight bulbs from behind the lenses. Change the light bulb by rotating the black plastic ring counter clockwise to release the bulb from its socket. Also, pull the electrical connector off the bulb.

SOURCE: How to remove a headlight

Disconnect battery ground cable.
Remove headlamp switch module from instrument panel by firmly pulling outward on headlamp switch knob.
Disconnect electrical connector from switch.
Reverse procedure to install.

Dash lights in '90 cadillac seville not working


Most likley the instrument dimmer switch and that is part of the headlight switch, try wiggling it to get them on.
