Question about 1999 GMC Jimmy
There is a place in Michigan I think in Livonia on Schoolcraft rd. I used to buy schematics for wiring from them but I can't remember the name, hope this will give you a lead.

I don't have the wiring diagram, but here is how it is wired, the large red lead bolts to the insulated stud on the back of the alternator, the other 2 smaller wires are to the "D" connector, go to a good parts store like NAPA or CAR QUEST and ask for a repair connector for your alternator, it will be a stub connector with 2 wires in it, just splice it to the old wires and plug it in, one wire is bigger than the other so it's hard to screw that up. look under the front of your blazer, just below the bumper, and you will see a little access door in the plastic guard. Open this door, and you will find your oil filter.
