Question about 2000 Chevrolet Venture
SES light keeps coming back with P0131 and P0137 (Oxygen Sensors). I've replaced both Sensors, TPS, Plugs, Wires, filters.
I disconnected the battery for two days last week, then started driving around this weekend. Yesterday, I was driving along (about 50 MPG) and when I tried to maintain speed up a hill, the engine started bucking and the SES light turned-on again. I took the van to have the codes read, and *you-guessed-it*, P0131 and P0137.
I don't have a lot of tools or a vacuum gauge.
Please advise. My family is taking a camping trip soon, and I don't think our van will pull our pop-up uphill.
2 simple causes for your symptoms would be water in the fuel tank (pour drygas into the tank to alleviate this problem) or a leak in the exhaust system. If both items don't apply, check for any vacuum leaks under the hood. You've isolated the problem to either vacuum leaks or a fuel problem. Hopefully, this will give you a general area to look and solve your problem. Best of luck.

Tips for a great answer:
Oxygen O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 1)
What does that mean? Essentially the same as P0136 and P0137, a P0131 code refers to the first oxygen sensor on Bank 1.
P0131 means the O2 oxygen sensor's voltage remained low for longer than 2 minutes. This, is interpreted by the ECM as a low voltage condition and sets the MIL. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is located in front of the catalytic converter.
Symptoms There may be no visible symptoms to the driver, other than the MIL (Check Engine / Service Engine Soon) illumination.
Causes A code P0131 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

Mar 05, 2014 | Nissan Xterra Cars & Trucks
