SOURCE: Hyundai Accent (97, auto) wont shift out of Park,

ur solenoid is bad u can replace it which is kinda expensive or u can take ur center consil out and remove the peg that unlocks ur shifter the only thing ur lock override does is manually pulls it out. i just jammed a golf tee in it to keep it open and it seemed to work just fine

SOURCE: my 2005 hyundai accent wont shift out of park

on most cars when u step on the brake pedal youll hear a "click" near the center console which is the shift solenoid releasing the "lock" on the floor shifter allowing the shifter to come out of park.check to make sure all the fuses are good and check the brake lite switch(es) and wiringfrom brake lite switch to shifter solenoid.a wiring diagram always helps.

SOURCE: Squealing noise when in reverse

Is the noise under the hood? or where?

If under the hood, most likely the engine has a bad motor mount. The engine will "twist" slightly to one direction when driving forward and "twist" in the opposite direction when you drive in reverse.

When it is twisted (in reverse) an engine pulley or fanbelt is scraping on some plastic part, or whatever, and making the noise.

If not under the hood, it may be one of the front brake pads that have a "worn brake pad" sensor. The sensor is an L-shaped piece of metal that scrapes the rotor when the brake pad backing gets too close to the rotor, hence worn brake pads.

If the noise is somewhere else, maybe another "expert" has a suggestion.

Please post more information... Thank you.

2007 hyundai accent humming front end tire

Same with my 07 Accent. bought new in 07, noise started last spring 2013 at 63,000 miles, a year later at 97,000 getting louder but still rolling along, high speeds and pulling a trailer some of the time. Cannot believe a bad bearing would last that long.

Noise from rear of 2001 Hyundai accent.

Take it to a different tire store, and ask them to look for a separated belt or an out-of-round tire. The store that balance your tires should have caught that. A bent wheel is another possibility

Or: On a lift, slowly rotate the tire, standing 6-8 feet behind the car and watch the edges of the tread -- see if they "wobble" from side to side. That's a bad tire.

Or: Rotate tires front to back and see if the problem shows up in the steering wheel.

Hyundai accent won't move in reverse. It can go foward just fine.

on a hyundai you have a shifting sensor attached to the transmission that if it starts to go bad it will cause many problems, hard shifting, loss of power or no shifting.

dear friend-if you have forward gears it means that the reverse drum is faulty.if not it means that or the torque coverter or pump is stripped, eitherway the gearbox must come out.

Noise coming from my rear left wheel

first thing check if lugs are all tight and inspect the tire for foreign objects stuck in it.
if ok then jack the car up until the tire is off the ground then see if you can wobble the tire side to side if it moves or wobbles at all the bearings are bad. get them replaced immediately. this could lead to wheel loss and or possibly death from accident.
if by chance it isn't the bearings then spin the wheel and listen for noises.check the brakes pull up the emergency brake one click at a time and try to spin the wheel if it makes noise the brakes and or rotors are worn and need replacing. if it spins freely on one click of the handle then chances are you need to rep[lace the breaks. it should be difficult to turn or provide resistance.
if not try two clicks of the handle or pedal until you find resistance in spinning the wheel.
if you find resistance make sure it is constantly even all the way around if it gets easy then hard to turn then easy with every rotation then you have a warped rotor or hub.
replace as necessary.
good luck.
