You cant tow it more than a couple of miles without damage. you have to take out drive shaft to tow any distance of miles. If the car is not coming out of park then is your battery dead? the shifter will not move without electric power.

You have no power from battery you might have a little cap near the shifter just pop off with a little screwdriver or a knife if thats all you have now take a pen or rod that foits in the hole and push down on the pallet inside you should be able to shift the shifter if its automatic if it manual not the same

I have a 2014 Buick LeSabre. The electronic key is dead and I need to put the car in neutral to tow it.

most tow company's know of this and have simple devices to cope with this problem (dolly wheels) , if your going to tow it yourself then let me caution you on towing a non running electronic transmission auto , 1st don't do it ! there are lots of tiny parts in there that wont last too long getting moved around in there backwards , second reason lots of these new cars have built in auto theft deterrents , it might go into neutral but if it thinks its being stolen (tilted) it wont stay there (doesn't matter what the gear shift says)
now of course you can move it short distantances in neutral (like off the "railroad tracks") but it is just better to replace the dead battery in the key to avoid any problems before trying to tow it someplace

Starter is out I need to tow it to shop. how do get it to shift into neutral

I'm no authority on Honda's but will the shifter not move when you put the key to the run position (not to the start position) and put your foot on the brake? We did this all the time in the shop to move cars around that wouldn't run. If not you may very well have to get the car floated to your shop. just a thought, good luck

Auto or manual? As always , auto , use the gear release tab located on the gear lever. Its covered and you will need a small flat blade to open it. Once open, use the flat blade to press the white tab down and at the same time shift the gear lever to N

Need to tow 1999 F250 about 150 miles home. What

If you have a stick shift, you rent a 2 wheel tow dolly and run the front tires onto it and strap it down. Put the truck in neutral and away you go.
If you have an Automatic you want all 4 wheels on a flatbed or tow trailer. You rent a car hauler trailer and piggyback the truck onto the trailer. A good rental will know the weight and rent you the right trailer.
