Bleeding brakes is two person operation. Check to see where bleeder valve is on calipers, usually on back side. Should be 3/8". They are hopefully covered with rubber boots or caps. If not then I would spray them with breakaway to assist in loosening. These are easily snapped off if they are frozen so be careful. Person in car, ENGINE OFF, pumps brake pedal until it becomes hard and holds it there. Person bleeding brakes turns bleeder valve to open just a crack, at first air will escape and some fluid. Person pressing pedal down will tell you pedal is down all the way. At this point tighten bleeder valve. Now repeat operation until you have fluid only coming from bleeder valve. Be careful as the fluid will shoot out of bleeder and hit you right in the face, safety glasses are recommended. Be sure to top off brake fluid reservoir before, during and after this operation. Test drive short distance to see if all air is evacuated from system, you'll know if there is air still in system if you have a soft pedal, if so repeat once more.

Will bleeding brake fluid regain brakes

Depends on why the brakes are not working. The only reason you would have to bleed brakes is if air got into the brake lines and the only way air can get into the brake lines is if the master cyl went dry, which means you have a leak somewhere or someone made a repair and removed a line, which will allow air to enter the system. Other than that the brakes could be severly worn.

I want to replace the left front break hose on a 2002 Dodge Caravan. Can I do it without removing the entire break line?

The hose can be disconnected from the caliper on one end and the metal brake line at the other. Take a good look at the other front hose as they both tend to wear out and fail at about the same time. You will have to bleed the air out of the brake system and verify that the system isn't leaking any fluid and is working properly after the repairs so if you haven't done one of these before you may wish to have a service facility do it for you.

IT sounds like your brake mastercylinder has went out so what you need to do is get a new mastercylinder and replace that and bleed out the whole brake system after you put on the new mastercylinder.

How do i replace front drivers side brake caliper?

Jack the van up, remove the tire. Then you will see the caliper. There will be 2 bolts that hold it on to the rotor. Remove the bolts and pry it off with a screw driver or what ever works. Then disconnect the break line from the caliper. After you get the new one use a c-clamp to press the piston down into the caliper and install the brake pads. Bolt the caliper back into place and install the line. Loosen up the bleed valve on the caliper 1/2 turn and have someone pump the breaks until no air bubbles come out. Once you have a smooth stream of brake fluid coming out the valve have that person pump once more and hold the pedal all the way to the floor. Then tighten the valve.

Abs lights on, etc button not working

The abs control module is located under the hood, on the drivers side, below the master cylinder on the fenderwell. Replacing it can be a hassle, as first you have to break free all the steel brake lines going to it, and it's a bit of a pain to bleed. It has to be done a certain way, or it won't operate normally.
