Will not start, battery is new, it just clicks and nothing. turn it off, try again and nothing, try again and it starts

Try cleaning and tightening well the battery connections along with the battery wires to the solenoid and starter motor.

Bad connections and low voltage of 12 volts can result in this anomaly.

The fan that keeps runnuing will be the fan for the radiator, Some cars allow the fan to keep running after shutting down the engine to cool the water in the radiator. They run for a short time 5 -10 minutes or less but will cut off. If it keeps running the timer controller or temp sensor is faulty. Have an auto elec check it out.

After sitting for about 6-8 hours car is hard to start. I turn the ignition key and nothing but if I keep trying after about 20 tries it cranks and runs fine. What may be the problem?

You have a bad electrical connection. Try cleaning battery connections. If this doesn't work, clean the starter connection at the starter. Also make sure your starter cable & ground cables are in good condition. Give your cables & connections the finger test . After trying to start for a while, touch the wires & connections with your finger. If you find a hot spot this is where the connection problem is. Good luck!

I would check your electrical connections. Check the battery posts...also check all the wire connections that lead off the negative side...(follow them and make sure that any that are connected to the frame of the car are clean and shiny . If they are not...then expect a dirty connection ...take them apart, wire brush all contact points and then re-assemble.)Most problems that are electrical are just bad connections.(mostly on the negative or ground side)
Keep me posted on your findings and ill help some more
Good luck!
