I need to replace the a/c compressor belt on a chrysler 2000 LHS, how do I loosen the tension pulley to remove the first belt?

Hi, I believe there is a tensioner that is situated below the alternator and have to loosen up gradualy and then you belt will come off the crank/water pump/alternator and then remove the a/c compressor belt, and also if you don't need to run your a/c or you dont want to chang the compressor you don't need that belt, your vehicule will run fine, that belt run only you a/c compressor Mike

Where is the termostat located on my 2000 chrysler lhs

Hi your thermostat is situated below the alternator at the end of the rubber hose. You will have to remove it from under the car or through the fender. It will also help to remove your alternator for more hand room from the top if you have a helper holding the part for you to screw the upper bolt. Make sure you apply the new gasket properly. Mike

On my 95 chrysler lhs i get a code 41 which means the alternator field not switching properly. How do I fix this?

replace the alternator. or you can change the diode trio if it is on the outside of the alternator. this is the part that changes the alternating current from the generator (alternator) and makes direct current

Replaced alternator in 1997 lhs crysler and am

A little spark is normal, just the power going to the computer. A huge spark is a shorted wire, probably an over tightened positive terminal that cracked the plastic insulator on the alternator, or a bad alternator out of the box .

Will the blower power modules from a 1997,1998,1999,work on a 1996 chrysler.

Don't see a LHS for 1998, just compared 96 and 97, 2 different parts although same engine. They must have modified the heater/ac system in 98. From what I can tell, the 96 has a bracket attached to the motor whereas the 97 doesn't . If you were to remove the old blower motor and bring it to the junkyard and check it against the 97 or newer blower motors, it's possible that its just a matter of retrofitting the bracket off your broken motor to the newer model. Hope this helps and Best of Luck to you!
