If you go on the inside of the door see if there are any screws or a place where you can pry off the inside of the tailgate there should be a carpet type material in there you have to go behind it to get at the latch or try and fiddle with it on each sides of the gate.

Where is the heater valve located on a 1998 GMC jimmy

There is no heater valve in that rig.The heat is controlled by the gates in the heater box as you adjust the temp setting from your controls. If you are having a heat problem check the gates operation for movment as you go from hot to cold. You may have to remove the glove box to do this along with the help of a friend if you need to look under the dash on the passenger side.

My rear glass and tail gate will not open. keyless entry. I tried the inside latch release and the remote on my key. It sounds like it is trying to open, but it will not.

the release solenoid it stuck sometimes you can take a rubber hammer and bounce the outter panel while trying to unlock it otuside of that you will have the take the inner panel off from the inside and reach in there and manually release it
