Either the flap that switches positions from floor/defrost/vents is stuck, or a vacuum line has came off, or there is a nest or other clog either in the fan's squirel cage or in the vent itself

My 1999 buick park avenue a/c will blow out at window vent and floor vent but not at dash vent

It's one of the blend door motor drive gears that has cracked. As the motors try to move the blend doors to divert the air flow, the gear attached to them slips on the drive shaft. You need to remove them, inspect for the broken or cracked drive gear and replace them. This is a very common problem with these older GM vehicles.

2002 ford explorer AC and heat blowing in dash, but very weak from the vents

On the motorcraft parts web site, you can blow up
a picture of the HVAC Blend Door Motors & locations,
as well as part numbers

You can get failed motor from Amazon

With knowing where the motors are located, try switching
the air flow modes manually, to see what positions do not work

Then you know what motors to replace

I also have professional scan tool software & can see the codes
for the motors in enhanced data.

The-- Vent Blend Doors-by name

Defrost-up top
Cabin -the vents as you say in the middle & on the sides

Recirculate-under the glove box

No air coming thru vents in dash only going to floor

Common problem - depending on the year and model, you probably have a blend door that is stuck or not moving.
The blend doors behind the dash direct the flow of air. They are moved by vacuum or electric motors.

A vacuum hose that controls the little door that switches where the air blows from is off, its gonna be a real chore the find which one and take the dash out to get to it, but you might get lucky and be able to look underneath the dash from the passenger side and actually see it, good luck

My 1997 C1500 Chevy vent issue

Your blend door is probibly not moving all the way to vent position. If you put it on vent there is probibly air blowing on floor or defrost. It may also be opening just a fraction and causing back pressure on the blower motor causing the noise. Is there any difference in outside air or recirculate?

Air blows out thru the vents but just no hot air, aslo i have to hit the dash for the air to come out thru the dash vents at times.

sounds like bad acuator motor, this is what moves the door in heater box to set hot or cold air, and other motors to set air to blow thru defrost, vent or floor. good luck.

1996 chevy blazer my air on heater will not blow

the idea of the switch is run on vacuum and is not making contact with the switch it self either worn contacts in the switch itself **** as an obstruction as well or the vent door is stuck in just that position either behind the glove box or the ash tray are the vacuum lines one of them may be pinched off or the door needs a bit of help until you can free it up

The blower on my 2003 Bonneville won't blow out the floor.

The vents are controlled by doors that operate on a vacuum. There are small hoses that go to each vent door and provide the required vacuum to work the door. If the hoses fall off or become leaky, the door can't be opened when you move the control on the dash.

You will need to look under the dash and check the condition of the hoses. Make sure you check both sides, as only one side may be affected. (there are usually 2 different vent doors for the floor area)
