2001 Pontiac Sunfire passenger floor is soaking wet after rain.

The floor of my daughter's 2001 Pontiac Sunfire is constantly soaked on the driver's side. I'm guessing her sunroof is leaking somehow. Anyone have any advice on how to fix this?

Thanks MNfisherman! - It happens when the air is off - so would that still apply? Any suggestions on how to check the weatherstripping? We tried a hose/spray but you can't "see" the leak.

    Appreciate the feedback!!

Flat48 - we have not checked that and I will definitely do that. But would it only happen when it is raining?? It does dry out in between.

    Thanks for the input!

Have you checked the heater core for leaks? Check the floorboard up closer to the firewall and see if it is wet higher up, if so then I would say heater core leak or possibly line leaking. I would rule out sunroof since it would be leaking onto seats. Check weather striping around windshield on passenger side for obvious damage or cupping.

This is either two things. 1: The air conditioner condenser is leaking and will have to be siliconed, or you have a bead door or other weather stip that is allowing water in.

If it happens when it is dry outside, than the air conditoner condenser is probably leaking and will need to be sealed. They also have a drain hose on them which may be plugged

passenger side floor? There is a small tube that directs the condensation from the AC to the ground. If this tube has gotten plugged or moved the water would end up on the floor. Should be able to see this tube sticking out of the bottom of the heater /ac module.

Water leaking into 2005 Camry 6 cyl under carpet drivers side.

I think that I can help you. It sounds like your drain-tube is plugged up. Get in the passenger side, and pull the carpet back from under the glove box. Look for a black rubber pipe that goes from a black box, and pokes thru the firewall, on the passenger side. Remove the hose from the box, and have a container ready to catch water. If water comes out of the black box, your drain hose is plugged up. Clean out the clog, and you will be golden.

Wet rear floor

Have you by any chance jacked up the passenger side, or got vehicle on a hoist to make sure there isn't any plugs on the underside that may have fell out? They could be round or oval metal or rubber plugs, probably in that area.
