SOURCE: the anti lock brake light

Hello,
First this means you should not drive it until the repairs are done. Your brakes very well may not respond with both warning light indicators lit up. So one light is for your brakes and one is for your ABS system. The ABS light on means there is a malfunction in your ABS system. A sensor or something in the wiring. Now this light on alone indicates the need for a repair but the car could be driven temporarily. The ABS system makes your brakes fluctuate so "locking up" is avoided. The Oil light itself means something in your brake system is malfunctioning and hydraulic compression could be lost anytime. Both together is not good. I recommend first you check the brake fluid in your car. If it is below what it should be then this alone could set the Oil Light on. A brake light out could set your ABS light indicator on as well. So check the two things and if you are lucky this could fix each light. If not then you need to have this addressed by a auto technician as soon as possible.
Regards, Tony

SOURCE: 2001 MONTERO SPORT HOW DO

Hi, the problem most likely lies in the car's central computer or ABS sensor, but it can also be from something else in the brake or electrical system.
Disconnect the positive cable from the car battery, and then hold down on the brake pedal to drain the car's electrical system. This will reset the car's central computer. Plug the positive cable back to restore the power. Even if this doesn't totally reset the light, it should stay off for up to 1 week.

Change the ABS sensor if the light comes back on. Unscrew the housing for the sensor that is mounted to the wheel hub and unplug the wire, then attach and mount a new sensor. You might need to reset the computer again as described above.

Connect an OBD code reader to your car's on-board diagnostics system to determine any other causes of the brake light. Look for codes related to the brakes that appear on the reader, indicating any parts on the brakes that need repair or replacement.

2002 mitsubishi anti lock break light

your anti lock unit may be going out,you need to see a mechanic to have this checked. You should not drive this vehicle fast and rely on the brakes in extreme conditions. These units can be rebuilt saving you a good deal of money.Although the brake system needs to be checked fully by a mechanic.

park it, get it towed (unless you know someone that can fix it) and have a shop go over it to find out what happened. Most likely the master cylinder has failed.

Intermittent Flashing 4x4 Light

This was a weakness of the Montero Sport models. If you google Montero Sport 4WD light flashing you will find lots of information. The best troubleshooting article I have found is here: http://4wd.blogeasy.com/article.view.run?articleID=318776 This article is about the Pajero, but the Montero Sport uses the same platform so this article applies.

The Montero Sport uses several switches and vacuum modules to put the system in and out of 4WD. If any of these malfunction, the light may flash continuously, flash intermittently, fail to come on, and it can trigger the anti-lock brake light to come on. In brief, if the 4WD shift lever is engaged, but the transfer case doesn't engage, the sensors show a mismatch and will cause the light to act funny including triggering the vehicle's anti-lock break light. These SUV's need to be shifted into 4WD regularly to keep the switches and mechanisms working correctly.

Try this before you even think about a visit to the $$$$$ Mitsubishi Dealer:
Shift the 4WD lever between 4WD High, Low and 2WD at least 100 times. Often, this will free the mechanisms and resolve the problem. It worked for me after three years of trying everything else including the dealer replacing switches, etc. If this does fix it for you, just be sure to shift the vehicle in and out of 4WD several times at least one a week and this will keep the mechanisms lubricated and functioning correctly. If that doesn't work, try the above link (article). Good luck!
