What would it cost to replace the two break lines ?

Dear Denis,
Denis, you have a total of between 8 to 14 brake lines on your vehicle.
On most cars, only the rubber brake lines are purchasable specifically for the model, make, and year.
All the steel lines are sold straight, and must be bent to shape.
Brake lines cost from 5 to 50 dollars each, depending on where you buy them and which lines they are.
The steel lines cost by the inch.
Then, after that there is the labor cost.
You can pay from 10 dollars to over 100 dollars an hour for labor, depending on where you go for repair.
I hope this gives you an idea.

What should it cost to replace both rear brake lines on a 2003 Hyundai elantra front to back

Its cheaper if u buy lines and do it yourself honestly. But you will also need brake fluid and a friend to help you bleed all brake lines

Did you see where it is leaking from? Sure it isn't from a wheel cylinder? Or from a front rubber line?

Leaking brake fluid at rear passenger '92

Most likely a brake caliper or line. Lines are fairly cheap, calipers cost about $75 a piece if you get them discount online. Novice mechanics can do either or both replacements. DOnt buy parts from a dealer, they are 40% higher than retail. A brake shop will run you in the range of $150 to replace the caliper and pads one one axle, about $300 on both rear (replace both is recommended). Mike

Toyota camry 1993 4 cyl car the hydraulic fluid line entering the pump close to the left rear wheel got rusted and is leaking, and needs replacement. Please let me know what parts will be required and what...

Brake lines are not expensive, you can purchase different diameters, and lengths at any parts store. If the line is rusted and leaking, the rest of the brake line system needs to be visually inspected, as usually when a line rusts through, the rest of the system is probably rusting away and may also need replacement.
So, although the parts are not expensive, this is a lousy labor intensive job. The lines will be rusted at connections and difficult to separate, and brake system will have to be bled to remove all air. Your safety is of the utmost importance, so get this fixed before you drive it. To fix the one line should not cost much, to replace all the brake lines could cost several hundred $. If you can do it yourself, you can save a lot, but as I said, it's a lousy job, especially if you don' have a lift to raise the car for easier access. Good luck.

Brake line under master cylinder rusted and spraying fluid

Replacing rusty brake lines is a nasty job, but u can do it yourself and save a ton of money. A while back, someone else asked this question and decided to have a garage do it, and it cost $1200. U can purchase different lengths of brake line at any auto parts store, along with connectors to join the lines together. The dealer won't have pre-bent lines for a car that old, but u can buy the different lengths necessary to replace the rotted line. You'll have to follow the line to see where it ends, which may be quite a distance away. The problem is, by the time u have to replace a line, they all need to be changed. The labor cost is high, but u can purchase the lines at a low cost. Get the car uo on jack stands, soak the line connections w/ wd-40 or some penetrating oil for a day (or more if possible) to help in removal. Replace a section at a time w/ lines u bend to fit as u go.Good Luck
