SOURCE: Car ran and stalled, and now it won't start back up again

if the car starts then shuts off check for a security light flashing or staying on in the dash. if this is happening then you need to service the passlock system not the fuel pump. generally it is the ignition cylinder and will need reprogramming once it is changed. Not sure where you are but dealer is very expensive and our shop repairs about 30-50 of these problems per month.

SOURCE: Transmission surges win it shifts

Hi , you need to change the oil filter in the auto drive and use a good type oil ie elf matic If the oil is black or very dark exspect to have a rebild, the oil should be changed every 12 monthes to keep the box in tip top condition.

SOURCE: Hello, I have a 2000 grand prix gt shift into gear and drive fine

Sounds like the filter might be plugging up. I would have it serviced. Do you have a check engine light on? How long do you have to leave the engine off before it will start moving again?

Dtc 0700 jerks when shifting from reverse to drive

The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

My 2008 Colorado cannot shift out park gear.I drove home in 4wd on Monday through snow and slush and parked. On Tuesday morning I couldn't get it out of park. I hefted on the shifter for quite a while and...

It may or may not be a problem with shifter interlock system .
Automatic Transmission Shift Lock Control System
The automatic transmission shift lock control system is a safety device that prevents an inadvertent shift out of PARK when the engine is running. The driver must press the brake pedal before moving the shift lever out of the PARK position. The system consists of the following components:
• The automatic transmission shift lock control solenoid
• The body control module (BCM)
• The engine control module (ECM)
• The transmission control module (TCM)
The body control module (BCM) controls the voltage supply circuit of the shift lock control solenoid. The following conditions must be met before the BCM will supply battery voltage to the shift lock control solenoid:
• The ignition is in the ON position.
• The ECM sends a serial data message to the BCM indicating the transmission is in the PARK position.
• The ECM receives a brake applied input from the brake light switch and sends a serial data message to the BCM indicating the brakes are not applied.
With the above conditions met, the BCM supplies battery voltage to the shift lock control solenoid. The solenoid is permanently grounded and therefore energizes, locking the shift lever in the PARK position. When the brake pedal is depressed the ECM send a serial data message to the BCM indicating the brakes are applied. The BCM turns off the battery voltage supply to the shift lock control solenoid. This de-energizes the shift lock control solenoid releasing the mechanical lock, allowing the driver to move the shift lever out of the PARK position. With the shift lever out of the PARK position the ECM sends a serial data message to the BCM and no voltage is applied to the shift lock control solenoid.

Transmission wont shift

Start by checking the transmission fluid level. Check it in park with the engine running.

Since this happened while you were driving I would bet that it is not a shift linkage problem and if the fluid level is fine your transmission may need repair or replacement.
