You should have a key slot on the trunk lid for when this happens. The key is in the top of the electronic key (where the keyring goes through) and is released with a small catch.

this is a hard one, the battery goes dead from time to time, youll have to keep an out for lights staying on, a brake switch that stick sometimes, could be a radio shoting or a cd player drawing volts with key off, best way is to hook battery to a draw tester ,see if it drawing then start removing fuses one at a time to try and pinpoint the system thats drawing. if battery is charged and removed from car for a week will it go dead? ive had cars with bad batteries that had the same symptons.

Do the fans run properly and shut off when cars is off? If not they may be draining the battery. A bad stock antenna could drain battery because of the control module. Also the central locking pump if it keeps running (its supposed to shut off after 30 seconds) but if it fails it will drain the battery.
Disconnect each system 1 by 1 or pull fuses 1 by 1 to find out. I would believe its your neutral safety switch tho. Its on the transmission.

The anti-theft system is likely the problem. It needs to be reset.

Testimonial: "Right on, but I had gotten the answer from the MB forum earlier and reset the alarm by locking and unlocking the door. As the original post said it was a KEYED car, no remote. Thank you, Jim"
