These are to raise or lower the transmission shift arm to either get more Power from your engine or use the Manu to lower in order to get more economy from your engine.

What is the function of the manu & power buttons?

If I understand your question, the manu allows you to shift like a regular stick shift. The power will allow the revs to go higher than in normal for extra power/acceleration.

I have a 1988 toyota supra with a auto tranmission the problem is that it will not shift into 4 highway the tech is 4 grand at 70 .

These cars have a switch that controls the overdrive, and that is where I would start. Check the fuse panel to ensure that you do not have a bad fuse, then check the OD switch.

I don't really have a problem per se. I bought a 1997 RAV4 and I was curious what the 2 buttons on the dash do for the transmission. One says manu and the other says pwr. Also my insurance company...

Never press the pwr button. If you press it, the vehicle will blow up after 10 seconds. You only press it if you get carjacked. So be careful. If you press it by accident, press it again before 10 seconds or goodbye RAV4.

MANU button on RAV4

The PWR button (power) is like a sports mode. It keeps in lower gears for longer so you can gain more speed. Handy for overtaking or fast lane changing. Not wise to use this all the time due to poor fuel economy.

The MANU button (manual) allows you to operate the gears manually. With MANU on and gear lever in L, it will drive in 1st. Gear lever in 2, it will drive in 2nd. Gear lever in D, it will drive in 3rd. If Overdrive is enabled then D will give you 4th gear instead.

How do i put the top up on a 2000 vw cabrio manuely

If it has a power top in the truck on the left hand side is a round plastic plug or cap, about 4". Pull it out. Behind it is a T handle bleeder screw to release the pressure from the pump. Turn the screw to the left, this will let you open and close the top manually.
