Question about Cars & Trucks
You need to check the alternator charge rate as this is the sort of problems associated with a low charge rate , unfourtunately you will need the engine running to do this so get a voltmeter ready for when you jump start the engine and read across battery terminals if reads below 13 volts the alternator needs replacing ,check that the drive belt is tensioned correctly as this would make alternator give low charge, also will need the OBD codes reading after all this going on , the engine doesnt need to be running for this just ignition on ,will give codes for sensor/switch which might be out because of the starting/running problems

Possibly faulty ignition module is the problem, stalls when engine is hot when you sit for a while it cools off and runs again until it heats up again, those are usually the symptoms of a bad ignition module and after a while it may give out all together and not run at all, usually if the module is at fault it shuts down the fuel pump so the engine don't load up with fuel, do to when engine continuously cranks over the injectors never stop squirting fuel and flood the engine do to lack of spark which is produced by the module, this could possibly be your problem.

SOURCE: suburban stalls while driving
a bad crank sensor can cause this. shuts off while going down road, and will start about 10 min, later with no problems runs fine until it quits again. hope this helps,
