Sounds like a loos econnection remove radio and check the wire connectors are pushed fully home also check the fuse in the back of radio as you have it removed, try the radio function before refitting it just incase it still does'nt play as you can then check the power/earth connections etc

My 2004 volvo xc90 t6 model has a check engine inscription on the electronic display panel. How do I get it off

you can get it off with any odbcii scanner, but take into account that if you don-t fix the reported problem, probably it will show up again. Usually it could be a sensor or something not very expensive problem.

Volvo xc90 front seat cupholder cover on center isnt working

I had a problem with the back seat cup holders. You can actually remove the whole console. I took mine to the dealer and they fixed it for free. They did not even sell me my car. Here is the link to the manuals:

I hope this helps!

Light in xc90 radio is out. Can I fix this myself?

I had the same problem. LCD on Stereo can't be fixed and Volvo said it would be $1000 for a new unit.
Bought an aftermarket Alpine BT103 (includes bluetooth) for $219 on Crutchfield.com. They included a face plate free!
Install (including Ipod cable) was another $150.
You may get an airbag service light after the install.
Take it to the Volvo dealer and have it reset.

No sound and cd read Paused

I had the same problem a few times. I found that it went into pause mode when the CD was playing and the volume was turned down to zero. Try turning the volume back up. The CD should exit pause mode.
