My concern is the plastic cap thst covers the screws to remove the sun visor, have tried to remove it but it wouldn't come off and didn't want to damage the cap or headliner.

It is just clipped on, a plastic tool to pop it off should work. Plastic does get brittle with age, so you may damage it, no matter how careful you are.

We need help on trying to get the wind deflector up so we can work on the windshield

You have to remove the sunvisors and rain sensor cover & the side trims + upper plastic roof trim there are hidden screws behind the rubber trim on the top section and 4 screws beneath the interior upper plastic section thats why you need to remove the sunvisors etc, it will lift off reasonably easy once all the screws are removed be careful with the plastic pieces I did this job last week takes about 45 mins to remove

Sunroof wont shut

The sound is from the motor and the gear not being close enough to turn. Unfortunately you can't get the gear unless you buy the whole regulator. Which comes with the motor. Then the fun starts. You have to pull all the column side panels leading to the headliner. Then remove the sunvisors (these can be tricky Each one is different And some take special tools). Then pull the headliner down to replace the regulator..

How to remove sunvisor clip on a 1997 Honda civic dx?

I have a 96 Honda Civic and my clip broke. Finally got a new one and could figure it out. Finally did. Rotate the visor out of the way. Rotate the clip 90 degrees CCW. Gently pry down on the clip and remove. Installation of the new clip is opposite the removal.

I have a suzuki samurai and the sunvisors won't stay up

See if there is a screw present in the area where the visor and bracket meet. If so, tighten the screw. This places a drag between the two so the visor remains up or down
