Labor time

There is no data base of info on this site

Just a free chat room

Ask a repair shop or dealer, they have the labor
manuals,if they even use them anymore

I wouldn't,I would charge exact labor time for all work.

Too difficult & time consuming, to get to & work on today's
vehicles, or to take on labor intensive jobs

2007 ford edge, the transmission is going out, what to do?

Has transmission fluid & filter been changed? If so, I'd be shopping transmission shops as parts & labor varies widely.

I have a 1986 Chevy S10 4X4, Auto.Transmission, Reverse & 1st gear are fine, but will not come outta 1st gear. What can I do? Thanks for any help!

Normal 0 To take off and put back the transmission cost around $700 labor. To open up, repair and put things together, parts and labor start at $800. So the total would be at least $1500.
Buying a used Transmission for $300, and replace the bed one for $700, would cost you $1000 at least.
The question is:
Could you find a dissent transmission of a 1986 Chevy S10 4X4.
The answer is:
Chanced are slim or none.

Thermostat in my 2004 or 2006? chevy trailblazer $420???

I would say that sounds a bit steep for the job being performed.labor time on this is for a 2.2 liter engine is 1.1 hours and rest as follows 2.8 or 3.5 -engine1.7hours 4.2 or 4.3 is 1.3 hours and finally 5.3 or 6.0 is 1.5 hours. To drain and refill the transmission should only be .8 or eight tenths of an hour not even an hour on that max labor time to do the job shoul have been 2.5 hours x what ever the shop rate is plus parts and oil and tax. you do the math.

My speedometer on our 1993 Cadillac Allante only works about 15% of the time. Digital cluster dash set up. Any ideas on what the problem is.......? Ziproser@aol.com Ray!

The Speed sensor found near the transmission was replaced. The part is not expensive, however the labor time & effort needed getting to and from the sensors location is the most difficult part of this solution. The digital speedometer seems to be working just fine now.
